Recently, the couple shared a glimpse of their little munchkin and revealed her cutesy name. In a recent interview, Sidharth shared the beautiful meaning of his little daughter’s name.

On November 28, 2025, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani took to their Instagram handle and shared a joint post to announce their baby girl’s name. Recreating their pregnancy announcement, the Shershaah couple shared a snap featuring their hands along with their little one’s cute little feet covered in knitted woollen socks. They captioned the adorable post as:

"From our prayers, to our arms, our divine blessing, our princess Saraayah Malhotra."

Ever since the couple announced their baby girl’s name, fans have been curious to know the meaning of it. Speaking with journalist, Barkha Dutt at the 'We The Women' event, Sidharth shared sweet memories with his little daughter. The new dad highlighted that he has 'never lost so many arguments to somebody who can’t speak.' The next moment, Sidharth was asked about the meaning of his daughter’s name. The actor revealed:

"Saraayah is ‘Princess of God’. It’s not in Hindi of course. It’s an exotic name that comes from the East. It’s actually a Hebrew name."

In the same event, Sidharth Malhotra opened up about the changes brought to life after his daughter, Saraayah’s birth. He shared that life has been 'amazing' since his little daughter’s birth. Sidharth mentioned that he is 'no longer the hero of the house'. He shared that Saraayah is 4 months old and called her the 'superstar'. Later, the new dad expressed that initially he and Kiara were unsure whether to reveal their baby girl’s name, but later they decided to announce it.

Further in the event, Sidharth was asked whether he is a hands-on parent or not. In response, the actor replied 'yes' and said that this question must be asked to his wife, Kiara. He called his wife a 'superhero'. He then shared that watching her through pregnancy and during the time of his baby’s birth, he experienced things closely. He highlighted that women demonstrate courage, grit and strength when they become mothers. He was quoted as saying:

"Yes! I mean, you should ask my wife that. I see my daughter being a superstar, my wife being a superhero. The process of just seeing her through pregnancy and birth is an eye-opening experience for me. Men always talk about courage and grit and strength, but women actually demonstrate it when they become mothers. I have seen her during pregnancy go through hormonal and physical changes. And now, she is being a true superhero, taking care of Saraayah. I am contributing a little bit by changing diapers and clicking pictures, or just trying to keep a happy environment."
