The film has been written by Pavan Kirpalani, Belal Khalique, and Neel Mohanty, while Nicky Bhagnani, Vicky Bhagnani, Ankur Takrani, Dinesh Gupta, and Kinjal Ghone produced the same.

The plot of the movie revolves around a sceptical author named 'Nikita Roy' who is known for exposing fake and untrue supernatural claims. She starts digging into the truth after her brother, 'Sanyal Roy', passes away in mysterious circumstances. The movie had a high-profile cast, and according to a News18 report, the net collection of the movie was Rs. 1.28 crore. The gross of Nikita Roy came to around Rs. 1.51 crore, and the movie was made on a budget of Rs. 20 to Rs. 25 crore.

Sonakshi Sinha revealed she felt very personal with her character of 'Nikita Roy'

In the film, when 'Nikita's brother dies, she is headstrong to find the truth. As she delves into it, she encounters supernatural experiences that alter her logical thinking. She changes her personal grief into a full-on investigation. The trailer of Nikita Roy has shown fans the mysterious and also the dark world of the movie while Sonakshi is seen having a very gripping role. The tone of the film is suspenseful and spooky, showcasing fear, secrets untold, and mysteries unheard. The actress, once in an interview with News18, revealed feeling personal with her character. In her words:

"Nikita felt very real to me from the start. She’s dealing with loss, confusion, and a lot of unanswered questions, yet she keeps moving forward. What stayed with me was her quiet strength, the kind that doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful. Kussh’s direction gave me the space to explore those silences and emotions honestly. I’m thrilled about the film’s premiere on JioHotstar, which offers an incredible opportunity to connect with a much broader audience."

Paresh Rawal also added that he was drawn towards understanding the character of 'Amar Dev'. The actor shared that his character was very different from the ones he had portrayed in the past. Paresh revealed that his character doesn’t raise his voice or announce his power; it comes through influence and presence. Paresh Rawal, speaking more about his role also added:

"Playing someone who controls a room without obvious aggression was very interesting for me. I feel a film like this benefits from being watched on JioHotstar, where audiences can really settle in and absorb the details."
