Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame, Karan Mehra and his estranged wife, Nisha Rawal, has been hitting the headlines with their divorce proceedings for quite some time now. For the unversed, the duo had got married on November 24, 2012. Together they had embraced parenthood for the first time with their son, Kavish Mehra, on June 15, 2017. However, the year 2021 had brought a major storm in their marital life as they had decided to part ways.
Currently, Nisha Rawal is one of the contestants in the reality show, Lock Upp. In a conversation with Karanvir Bohra on the sets of the show, the star wife was asked about the fight between Nisha and her husband regarding their son, Kavish Mehra's custody. Nisha had then revealed that there was never a bonding between the father and the son, which is why Kavish never asks about Karan. She had also mentioned that her son is seeing a behaviour therapist. And the therapist had told her to reveal the truth about her relationship with her estranged husband, Karan Mehra, to their son.

In a conversation with Payal Rohatgi, on the sets of the popular reality show, Lock Upp, Nisha Rawal shared an incident from her memory lane with her estranged husband, Karan Mehra. She opened up to Payal that once she had asked Karan very calmly if he was having an affair. She also mentioned that Karan had admitted to her having an affair for the past few months even after the birth of their son, Kavish. Nisha said:
"He told me it was for seven-eight months but he also told me he knew the girl before he knew me. So, I do not know. Once you broke my trust, it is over. So I sat him down, switched on the AC, and asked him 'is it an affair?' and he told me 'yes, I am in love with someone else and I am in love with you too'. That was shocking for me. Cheating on someone, that too after having a child."
In the recent episodes of the reality show, Lock Upp, we have also seen a growing friendship between the two contestants, Nisha Rawal and Payal Rohtagi. Hearing about Nisha's emotional journey, her friend, Payal, reassured her that she is 'strong enough to fight this battle with Karan'. Nisha further revealed to her that after admitting to his estranged wife, Karan would still continue his affair, and she had to hide the same thing from her mother and their child. She said:
"After opening up to me about the affair, he would go, meet her and return to Mumbai. My mother who was living with me, I hid this even from her. I had to show my child everything was normal."

Nisha further mentioned that she had once held a press conference to open up on her marriage issues. And people over there after watching her with a bandage on her forehead, which had happened due to the physical abuse by Karan, mocked her. Nisha added that a few of them over there had also said, "ketchup lagakar aayi hai." She mentioned:
"I know what was going on in my life. I had to go to work, I had to show my child that nothing happened, I had to get up in the morning and make sure he attended his online classes. People said I had ketchup on my forehead when I had a bandage, I know what it was. I do not care about people. I just addressed the media once but he(Karan) made multiple videos."
For the unknown, on June 1, 2021, Karan Mehra had broken all headlines with his arrest by the Goregaon police. According to a report in TOI, Karan had pushed Nisha against the wall leading to a head injury, following which she had filed a police complaint against him. However, shortly after some time, Karan was granted bail. Since then, the fight between the two has been going on.
We hope tensions between Nisha and Karan don't hamper the life of their child, Kavish.
