Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani hosted a grand sangeet ceremony for their beloved son, Anant Ambani and his to-be-wife, Radhika Merchant. From inviting Justin Bieber to perform in the ceremony to the lavish floral decor of the venue, they left no stone unturned in making this a grand affair. Moreover, scores of prominent names from all walks of life were invited to Anant and Radhika’s sangeet.
The event saw the presence of eminent Indian cricketers like Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Surya Kumar Yadav, who recently touched down in India after a historic win against South Africa in the T20 WC 2024. In a video from Anant and Radhika’s sangeet ceremony, Nita Ambani got very emotional while talking about India’s win in the recently concluded World Cup. She invited the winning captain, Rohit Sharma, after congratulating the team. She said:
“We are all family here, but I have another family who has made the nation proud, who has made everybody’s heart swell with pride. And because of whom the celebrations don’t stop. I can’t tell you what an overwhelming feeling it is to have my Mumbai Indians family with me here tonight. Tonight is a day of celebrations, but tonight, besides Anant and Radhika, we are going to celebrate India. So, with great pride, I call on stage our winning captain, Rohit Sharma.”

Rohit climbed up on the stage amidst thunderous applause from the guests. He then proceeded to give a tight hug to Nita Ambani, whose heart swelled with utmost pride. In the same clip, the businesswoman was seen getting teary-eyed as she beamed with happiness, and she was heard saying:
“No shouting is good enough, no screaming, no cheering is enough.”
Further, in the video, Nita Ambani also acknowledged Surya Kumar Yadav’s terrific catch on the boundary line, which sealed the deal for team India in the World Cup final. She then proceeded to welcome him on the stage while cheering for him. Meanwhile, the businesswoman also highlighted the last over bowled by Hardik Pandya. While heaping praise on him, Nita Ambani said:
“There is one teenager we discovered. The person who made everyone lose their breath in the last over. He proves one thing: Tough times don’t last, tough people do.”

When all three of them got on the stage, a few background dancers were seen waving the Indian flag, while the guests gave Rohit, Surya and Hardik a standing ovation. Moreover, the Reliance Industries chairman, Mukesh Ambani, too, congratulated them and mentioned how the T20 World Cup win took him back to the time when M.S. Dhoni-led team India bagged the World Cup in 2011.
