Radhika Merchant added 'Ambani' to her name by marrying Anant Ambani on July 12, 2024. The grand wedding was attended by famous personalities from all over the world and was a blend of a series of pre-wedding festivities hosted by the billionaire family, including a grand Mediterranean cruise and bash in Jamnagar. While Radhika is enjoying her newly married life, the Ambani family leaves no chance to make her special and welcome her to their clan.
At the recently held 47th Reliance Annual General Meeting, Nita Ambani welcomed her daughter-in-law, Radhika Merchant, to the Reliance pariwaar. After talking about her vision for the future, she gave a shout-out to Radhika. She also thanked millions of Indians who sent good wishes to the newlyweds and described how their lives had become even happier with their blessings.
Nita Ambani revealed how, with the grace of God, Anant kickstarted his journey with his soulmate, Radhika. The Reliance Foundation chariman was quoted as saying:
"This year, with the grace of our devis and devatas, Anant embarked on a lifelong journey of togetherness with his soulmate Radhika. With open arms and hearts full of love, we welcome Radhika into our Reliance family. We are deeply grateful for the blessings and good wishes that each one of you have showered on Anant and Radhika for their wedding. Aapki duaaon ne Anant aur Radhika ke vivahit jeevan ko aur bhi sundar aur mangalmay bana diya hai."
Speaking at Reliance Industries Limited AGM, Nita also showered love on her youngest son and praised his initiative towards animal welfare. She revealed that when Anant was little, he showed his gentle and more compassionate side towards other beings. Nita Ambani added that it was Anant's wisdom that they established Vantara.
Nita Ambani also revealed how Jamnagar is Anant's grandmother, Kokilaben Ambani's birthplace, and his late grandfather, Dhirubhai Ambani's karambhoomi. She proudly shared that the same place is now her youngest son, Anant's karambhoomi. She said:

During the Kanyadan ritual, Nita Ambani revealed how a daughter is considered 'Laxmi' in Hindu culture and how abundance follows where there is the daughter. She further highlighted that giving away a daughter is not easy, and no one can ever give away their daughter, who is a piece of their heart. Further in her speech, Nita Ambani assured Radhika Merchant's parents, Viren Merchant and Shaila Merchant, that they are not giving away their daughter but rather gaining a son. She said:
"My dearest Shaila and Viren today you are not giving away your daughter to us, rather gaining a son and a new family. Our dearest Anant belong as much to you as our dearest Radhika belongs to us."
