North West Models For Skims Ad At 12, Stuns With Pretty Look After Backlash For Tattoos, Piercing

North West might be in her tweens, but she knows how to dominate headlines like her controversial parents, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. In October 2025, the 12-year-old became the talk of the town after debuting her shocking new look with faux tattoos and piercings. The mother and daughter also faced significant backlash. However, North has stunned everyone again with her appearance in a new Skims ad, where her face card proves she is definitely Kim Kardashian's daughter. 

North West looks her prettiest in new Skims ad 

North West has often made headlines for her fashion sense and experimentation with new styles. However, when in the past, her looks with corsets, face tattoos, and piercings had shocked netizens, this time, they are in awe of the potential future model. Kim Kardashian had revealed that her eldest daughter has a lot of confidence, which channels through her fashion. This is evident in North's recent appearance, where she modelled for her mother's brand, Skims. 

North wore the limited-edition holiday line for the new Skims ad. With huge fur boots and electric blue braids, which have become her signature, she showcased her unique style. Even after all the backlash, North has neither lost her confidence nor given up on exploring what style suits her the best. At just 12 years old, North is perhaps all set to become the next face of Skims. In a press release, sharing about how special it was to have her daughter in the ad campaign, Kim shared:

“Having North in this campaign makes it really special for me. She brings so much personality to the pieces.”

Kim Kardashian had received backlash after North West was seen with a face tattoo and dermal piercing 

North West's TikTok post in October 2025 showed her shocking look. The 12-year-old was seen with two face tattoos, a septum piercing, faux long lashes, black grills (stylised blackened teeth), henna on her hand, and heavy braids with blue highlights. A few weeks before this TikTok went viral, during a vacation in Rome, people noticed that North had a dermal piercing on her middle finger. For the unversed, dermal piercings have no entry and exit points. As a result, dermal piercings are said to be more painful than the usual ones and take a lot of time to heal and require proper care. 

The last few appearances of North had been heavily trolled by netizens, with many calling out Kim Kardashian for letting her daughter, who is still a child, alter her appearance so drastically. Although the face tattoos were clarified as fake, there is no comment on the painful piercings people believe are permanent. A while back, in the Call Me Daddy podcast, Kim had talked about North's fashion sense and shared:

"It's really hard and it's really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things. But then my daughter tries to wear it and then I'm like, 'OK we're never wearing that again.' Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world. She's usually a girl that dresses like a tomboy most of the time and she wanted to try something that her friends were wearing and went to the same place that they went to... and it's just like, okay, wait, maybe you can't wear that, you know?"
