Only Murders in the Building Season 5 starts with a shocking twist, which is the death of 'Lester', who is Arconia's doorman. His death pulls 'Charles' (played by Steve Martin), 'Oliver' (played by Martin Short) and 'Mabel' (played by Selena Gomez) into their detective mode. As they move ahead in this case to find answers, they find themselves into the world of tech billionaires, mobsters, and powerful New Yorkers. 

Like all other four seasons, the powerful performance by each of the actors is what makes the show magical. Selena Gomez brought strength and emotion, while Martin Short brought his comic timing. Steve Martin remained as the calm and witty person. Apart from them, the show also stars Renee Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, Tea Leoni, Logan Lerman, Bobby Cannavale, Keegan-Michael Key and more. 

For the unversed, Only Murders in the Building Season 5 premiered on September 9, 2025, on the streaming platform, Hulu in U.S and on JioHotstar in India. The makers released three episodes at once and new episodes will be released every Tuesday. Reportedly, the show is expected to continue till late October.
