Business entrepreneur, Ritesh Agarwal is enjoying the best phase of his life- fatherhood. He embraced parenthood for the first time in his life in December 2023. He announced his 'good news' along with his wife, Geetansha with a lovely post on his social media handle. For the unversed, 2023 has been the best year for Ritesh as he also joined the business reality show Shark Tank India 3 as the youngest 'Shark'. Now, he opened up about the newest phase of his life and how he is embracing the daddy duties.
In an interview with ETimes TV, Ritesh Agarwal talked about embracing fatherhood. He mentioned still being in the early phase of parenthood and shared the challenges of diaper duties and sleepless nights. However, he called it a fantastic feeling and talked about his other achievements in 2023. He shared:
“It’s still early days. I am trying to be better in my diaper duties and ofcourse the sleep is quite volatile as you can imagine. But it is so special. Just seeing your child change everyday because he becomes slightly different every week. So I think it’s a fantastic thing. So this is very new and this year is a year with all new roles. There’s fatherhood and then there is Shark Tank India season 3. So I have to try and do well in quite a few things. I am looking forward to it.”

On December 7, 2023, Ritesh took to his Instagram handle and posted the first-ever glimpse of his newborn baby. In the photo, we could see the newborn baby holding his father's finger with his tiny fingers. The little boy was decked up in a white-hued onesie. Along with it, Ritesh penned a lovely note to reveal that he kept his son's name as 'Aryan'. He added that the sleepless nights he had spent working for OYO Rooms had been a warm-up for the fatherhood journey. His caption can be read as:
"The miracle of life is breathtaking, and our hearts are forever changed. Meet our precious little one - Aryan. The sleepless nights spent building OYO were just a warm-up for the sleepless nights of parenthood, and yet, I've never been happier than I am at this very moment! Here's to us, my incredible wife Geet, the bundle of joy Aryan and to the new chapter we're writing together – filled with love, laughter, and the indescribable happiness that only a little one can bring."
In October 2023, Ritesh mesmerised his fans by sharing the pregnancy announcement of his wife, Geetansha. He posted a picture with his pregnant wife, who was seen flaunting her baby bump in a pretty blue-hued dress. In addition, the doting husband was seen cradling his wife's baby bump. Along with it, Ritesh penned a lovely note and revealed that he met his wife, Geet eleven years ago, as a teenager. He added that he found it hard to convince his family about his dream, but it was his wife, Geet, who kept supporting him. Ritesh shared:
"I met Geet eleven years ago, when I was just a teenager chasing dreams, trying to convince my family that I wanted to build my company from scratch. There was only one constant who was by my side through it all, and it was her. The highs of happiness and milestones, the lows of pain and loss, we've been through so much together."

Born to a Marwari family in Bissam Cuttack, Odisha, that used to run a small shop, Ritesh Agarwal is now counted as one of the youngest billionaires. Initially, while pursuing schooling at Sacred Heart School, at the mere age of 13, Ritesh started selling SIM cards. Afterwards, he moved to Delhi in 2011 for college, and started a budget accommodation portal, Oravel Stays, which was accepted by Venture Nursery in September 2012.
However, he then dropped out of college, and managed to get selected for the Thiel Fellowship in 2013. And as he received a grant of USD 100,000, he launched the company as OYO Rooms in May 2013. Fast forward to today, the hospitality chain is one of the biggest ones in the country. According to Hurun Rich List 2020, Ritesh's net worth is approximately USD 1.1 billion, which, upon conversion to Indian currency, is Rs. 7253 crores.
