'Unke Wife Ko Jhut Bola' ATV Operator On Carrying Newly Married Navy Officer's Dead Body Post Attack

The Pahalgam attack has left the entire nation's blood boiling. It was the brutal assassination of 26-year-old Navy officer, Vinay Narwal that had broken millions of hearts. Vinay got married to Himanshi only a week ago and was in Kashmir for their honeymoon. Well, he was killed for not being a Muslim, and Himanshi recounted how her husband was shot dead while they were eating bhelpuri. The couple just got married and was thinking of spending the rest of their lives together when this heinous act claimed Vinay's life. Now, an ATV operator of Pahalgam recalled carrying the officer's dead body and lying to his wife at the moment.

ATV operator, Irshad Ahmad from Pahalgam recalls the horrific attack

Talking to ANI, ATV operator, Irshad Ahmad recounted the horrific incident of the Pahalgam attack that has left the entire nation hurt. Talking about it, Irshad Ahmad stated that first, they reached their home, and after that, they received calls, and they had to move back for rescue after the situation was normal because that area was not suitable for any other vehicle to be provided as a help. Stating that they had to take their ATVs to the Baisaran Valley, Irshad Ahmad revealed that they had been helping the rescue team for the past few days since the attack happened. In Irshad Ahmad's words:

"Initially, we took the bikes and went home. Then we received a call that the situation is normal and we have to go for rescue. We took all our bikes to Baisaran valley since it is a non-motorable road. So we took our ATVs. We have been taking the force and the police on our ATVs to the valley for the last two days."

ATV operator, Irshad Ahmad lied to the late Navy officer, Vinay's newlywed wife, in the moment 

Irshad Ahmad, in the same interview, recalled carrying the newly married Navy officer, Vinay Narwal's dead body down from Baisaran Valley. He revealed that he carried the body to the ambulance, and midway, he checked that Vinay's pulse was gone, but his wife, Himanshi kept asking if he was alright. Irshad shared that he had to lie to Himanshi that her husband was alive, although he was dead by then. Irshad also recalled crying four times, witnessing the heartbreaking scenario of Baisaran Valley post the terror attack. Irshad can be quoted as saying:

"I was the one who brought the Navy Officer (Lieutenant Vinay Narwal) and his wife to the ambulance. I checked his pulse on the way and realised that he had died. At the moment, I lied to his wife that he was alive and that she should not worry... When I saw the situation there, I cried four times... We don't want such incidents ever to be repeated in our Kashmir."

Vinay Narwal and Himanshi planned to go to Switzerland but they reached Jammu and Kashmir, their last video surfaced

Vinay Narwal got married only 7 days ago in a grand wedding soiree, and he went on a honeymoon with his newlywed wife only two days before the inhuman act claimed his life. A family member revealed that the couple wanted to go to Switzerland but they couldn't go due to visa issues, thus they reached Jammu and Kashmir on April 21, 2025.

A day later, they were visiting the destination point when the attack took place. As per a report by The Times of India, the family members were still distributing the sweets of their wedding on the day Vinay was murdered. A video of the newlyweds, Vinay and Himanshi went viral, wherein they could be seen dancing with each other in the backdrop of scenic beauty, and little did they know that destiny had a major blow for them.
