Sonakshi Sinha is reportedly going to get married to her beau, Zaheer Iqbal, on June 23, 2024. While the actress or her beau hadn't made any comment about the same, it was Shatrughan Sinha who stated that he had no idea about his daughter's wedding, and it left everyone thinking if there was any problem going on between the actress and her family. Now, Sonkashi's uncle and close family friend, Pahlaj Nihalani revealed if Shatrughan Sinha is upset with Sonakshi for not informing him about getting married to Zaheer.
In a recent interview with Zoom, Pahlaj Nihalani was asked if Shatrughan Sinha actually didn't have any information about Sonakshi getting married to Zaheer Iqbal. To this, he stated that Shatrughan Sinha was away from home for elections for three months, but his wife, Poonam Sinha must have had the idea about Sonakshi's wedding, and she might told the veteran actor about the same, after returning to Mumbai. Stating that everything is well between Sonakshi and her family, Pahlaj revealed:

"You must have spoken to him when he was out of Mumbai for almost three months due to elections. Bhabhiji must have known. She must have decided to tell him about it (the marriage) after his return. Now he is back in Mumbai and all is well between Sonakshi and her family."

In the same interview, Pahlaj Nihalani was asked if Shatrughan was actually upset about Sonakshi Sinha not informing him about getting married to Zaheer. He replied that a parent cannot be angry with his/her children for long. Pahlaj said that Sonakshi is laadli and there is no question about Shatrughan being upset or not attending the actress' wedding. Sonakshi's uncle also highlighted Shtarughan's statement that children nowadays don't take consent in the case of getting married, and just inform their parents about the same. Pahlaj then remarked that Shatrughan also got married to someone he liked and he surely wouldn't have any issue if Sonakshi does the same. He mentioned:
"Ha, but he can’t remain upset for long, not with Sonakshi. She is his laadli. Shaadi nahin attend karne ka koi sawaal hi nahi paida hota. As Shatruji said to you, aaj kal he bachche inform karte hain, permission nahin lete. Why should he be upset if Sonakshi is marrying the boy of her choice? Shatruji himself married a girl of his choice forty years ago. Even I chose my own life partner when I married my wife. One should not have unrealistic expectations from one’s children."
In an interview with Zoom, Shatrughan was asked if the rumours about Sonakshi's marriage were true. To this, he said that he doesn't have any idea about the same, but if his daughter would get married, he would just dance his heart out in front of the baarat. When he was asked why the media had the news of Sonakshi's marriage and not him, Shatrughan revealed that kids nowadays don't take consent of their parents. The veteran actor also mentioned that he and his wife were waiting to be informed about the same.

As per several reports, Sonakshi Sinha is getting married on June 23, 2024, at the South Mumbai eatery, Bastian. If the reports are to be followed, there will be a party on June 22, 2024, at their family home. Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding will be followed by a reception on the same night of their wedding.
