Post the horrific terror act at Pahalgam, Kashmir, India took extreme measures and cut all their friendly ties with Pakistan. Not only this, India has taken another significant step by geo-blocking some of the prominent Pakistani personality's accounts, which left many disappointed. But in these testing times, the Indian Government wants to give a strong reaction to terrorism. Amidst it, some Indian fans have used VPN to access their favourite Pakistani actress, Hania Aamir's IG handle.
The Pahalgam attack has questioned the brewing seeds of friendship between India and Pakistan. Hania, who is adored in India and shares a friendly relationship with Diljit Dosanjh and Badshah, also faced the brunt of the recent acts. She was banned from India and reportedly dropped out of Diljit Dosanjh's recent film. However, Hania's loyal Indian fans found a way around it as they subscribed to VPN services to access her account.
Despite the restrictions for a reason, Indian fans flocked to Hania's post and left emotional comments like "Miss you", and "Don’t worry, humne VPN subscription liya hai apke liye." Touched by Indian fans' love, Hania responded to the messages and wrote:
"Ro Doongi'
There are people making memes, but this move was taken in the wake of rising tension between the two countries after the horrific Pahalgam attack. 26 people lost their lives; 25 of them were tourists and were visiting the place to enjoy the scenic beauty of Kashmir. The attack was carried out by armed militants, and it is considered one of the most horrific ones since the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Following the April 22, 2025, episode, India geo-blocked the Instagram accounts of well-known Pakistani celebrities, including Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Ali Zafar. The moment Indian users are attempting to access these accounts, a message is being displayed, which can be read as:

Hania Aamir was among few Pakistani celebrities, who condemned the Pahalgam attack. Soon her account was banned in India. Within no time, a fake Instagram story went viral under her name. In the post, she was seen blaming Pakistan for the attack in Pahalgam. Netizens were left shocked. However, instantly, Hania reacted to the fake post and wrote:
"Recently, a statement has been falsely attributed to me and is being widely circulated on social media. I want to address this directly: I did not make this statement, and I do not endorse or align with the words being linked to me. It is entirely fabricated and misrepresents who I am and what I believe."
Hania Aamir further stated that it was a sensitive time in both countries, and one should have empathy as people lost lives. She concluded the note by writing:
"This is a deeply sensitive and emotional time. My heart goes out to the innocent lives lost and the families affected by the recent tragedy. Pain like this is real, and it deserves empathy, not politicisation. The actions of extremists do not represent an entire nation or its people. Assigning blame without proof only deepens divides and distracts from the real need for compassion, justice and healing. I remain committed to spreading positivity and respect in all that I do."
What do you think about Hania's fans' extreme steps to access her account despite the ban?
