Pakistani actress, Faryal Mehmood is a known face of the Pakistani entertainment industry, Lollywood. The model-turned-actress gained widespread fame as ‘Mehwish’ in the drama, Baba Jani. After this, the actress never had to look back as her career flew to glorious heights. Faryal has been featured in hit dramas like Wakhri, Daasi, Aap Kay Liye, Gustakh and more.
Besides her professional achievements, Faryal Mehmood has also been garnering headlines for her personal life. The actress was in a relationship with actor, Daniyal Raheal and the duo in 2018 took their relationship to the next level and tied the knot. However, their marriage did not last long, and the couple split in a few years.

Faryal recently appeared on The Wakhri Women podcast hosted by Adnan Faisal. Here, the actress revealed the real reason for her split with her ex-husband, Daniyal Raheal. She divulged that the duo was much in love, but they were extremely toxic with each other. She also added that though there was no physical violence between them, they both were inculcating mental abuse on each other. She elaborated that this mental abuse was the sole reason for their split as after a point, both of them couldn’t take it anymore and got separated.
In the same Wakhri Women podcast, Faryal shared her experiences with divorce and the life after. The Wakhri actress added that most people think that divorce is the end of one’s life, but that’s not true, in fact, it is a new beginning. Faryal explained that it is better to start a fresh life than continue an abusive relationship.

Faryal Mehmood also added that society still treats divorce as a taboo, and parents, to date, would prefer their child to continue living in a toxic relationship rather than take a divorce. These stigmas of society should not hinder one’s happiness, and people should strive for what’s best for them. She also pointed out how only a woman is responsible for upholding the marriage and is then blamed when the relationship fails.
