Palaash Muchhal Opens Up On The Cheating Allegations After Smriti Mandhana Calls Off The Wedding

Palaash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana have been grabbing a lot of attention since the past few months. The wedding ceremony of the madly-in-love duo was postponed on November 23, 2025, after the cricketer's father was admitted to hospital following a heart-related scare. Later, the groom-to-be was also admitted. Well, now after months of rumours and speculations, Palaash Muchhal has finally broken his silence on the matter. 

Palaash Muchhal opened up on the cheating allegations

A while ago, Smriti Mandhana took to her Instagram Story to announce that her wedding with singer, Palaash Muchhal has been cancelled. Within minutes of this, the singer also shared an IG Story and confirmed the same. Apart from that, Palaash also opened up on the cheating allegations, which have been making rounds on the internet for weeks. His note can be read as:

"I have decided to move on in my life and step back from my personal relationship. Its been very difficult for me to see people react so easily on baseless rumours about something which has been most sacred to me. Its the most difficult phase of my life and I will deal with it gracefully holding on to my beliefs."

Palaash Muchhal further called out the society, who judged him on the basis of some viral screenshots. For the unversed, a few days after his wedding with Smriti was postponed, some screenshots went viral, which featured the singer allegedly flirting with someone else. In the note shared, Palaash further revealed that his team will take a strict action against everyone, who was involved in spreading defamatory content against him. He concluded the note by sharing:

"I truly hope we, as a society, learn to pause before judging someone based on unverified gossip, whose sources are never identified. Our words can wound in ways we may never understand. While we think about these things, many people in the world are facing drastic consequences. My team will be taking strict legal action against those spreading false and defamatory content. Thank you to everyone who has stood by me with kindness in this tough time."

Smriti Mandhana is the vice captain of India’s women’s cricket team, whereas Palaash Muchhal is a music composer. Reportedly, the two had been dating for a long time. Days after Smriti won the World Cup, Palaash proposed to her at the DY Patil Stadium. The proposal was followed by a wedding ceremony. The couple had planned to marry on November 23, 2025. However, destiny had other plans as on the day of marriage, Smriti's father was hospitalised. 

While, Smriti's father was recovering, rumours started circulating on social media, which claimed that Palaash has allegedly cheated on the cricketer. His alleged screenshot with a choreographer went viral, in which the singer was seen flirting with the girl. During one conversation, he even called his relationship with Smriti 'dead'. However, these are just rumours.

But now, it seems like something unfortunate has happened between the couple, as the two have confirmed that the wedding is cancelled. However, it is worth mentioning that Palaash still hasn't deleted his photos and proposal video from his Instagram handle. On the other hand, Smriti Mandhana had deleted the wedding photos long ago.
