Pankaj Dheer's Son, Nikitin Dheer Breaks Down While Giving 'Kandha' To Father's 'Parthiv Sharir'

Veteran actor, Pankaj Dheer's sudden demise in Mumbai left his fans in extremely heartbroken. According to reports, Pankaj Tripathi was battling cancer for a long time, and he passed away on October 15, 2025. His last rites were held at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai's Santacruz suburb at 4:30 p.m. Several celebrities arrived to pay their last respects to the veteran.

Nikitin Dheer looks heartbroken as he gave kandha to Pankaj Tripathi's Parthiv Sharir

A video from the last rites of Pankaj Tripathi has been posted by a paparazzi page. In the clip, Nikitin Dheer, his son was dressed up in a cream-hued t-shirt with a pyjama. He was giving kandha to his father's parthiv sharir, which is a person's antim yatra before the last rites. The actor looked heartbroken as he was keeping himself together just for the sake of his father. Kushal Tandon also gave kandha to the veteran actor.

In another video, he was seen consoling his mother, by holding her tightly and wiping her tears. Slaman Khan also attended the last rites of Pankaj Tripathi. Several other celebrities, including Sidharth Malhotra, Arbaaz Khan, Mukesh Rishi, Puneet Issar, Hema Malini and many more, stood at the cremation ground to pay their last respect. 

Pankaj Dheer's last post before death was with his beloved wife, Anita Dheer

Pankaj Dheer got married to Anita Dheer in 1979 and was blessed with a son, Nikitin Dheer. The veteran actor's last post featured a special evening with his wife, Anita. Now, it holds a deeper meaning as Pankaj will never post anything on it.

In the photo, the couple was enjoying the scenic view of a heritage place with a candlelight dinner in the open space. Pankaj was dressed up in a soft pink-toned shirt, while his wife wore a purple, floral-hued kurta with subtle makeup and hair left open. 

Talking about his wife, Anita Dheer, she is a famous Bollywood costume designer. She has designed outfits for films such as Boxer, Ikke pe Ikka and Victoria No. 203. Talking about his son, Nikitin Dheer is a well-known actor. He is also married. Pankaj Dheer's daughter-in-law, Kratika Sengar Dheer, is also a renowned television actress. Kratika and Nikitin are blessed with a daughter. And the Dheer family has been one of the crucial parts of the television industry for several years. 

Nikitin Dheer had an intuition of his father's demise

It is believed that those who are Lord Shiva's devotees often get intuitions and signs of what the future holds. It seems like Nikitin also felt things were going to turn difficult for him. Just a few hours before Pankaj Dheer's death, Nikitin Dheer shared a cryptic post. He posted a picture of Lord Shiva on his Instagram stories. He mentioned that whatever comes, let it come, and whatever goes, let it go, as it is written in the Shiv Puran, but it is extremely hard for him to do. His note can be read as :

"Whatever comes let it come, whatever stays, let it stay. Whatever goes, let it go. As a Shiv Bhakt, says Shiv Puran and move on. He'll take care, very hard to do."
