Television actress, Pankhuri Awasthy is on cloud nine as she is all set to embrace parenthood for the first time with her husband, Gautam Rode. The couple is excited to embark on this new journey and they couldn't be any happier. For the unversed, Pankhuri and Gautam got married in 2018, in an intimate ceremony, and after five years of marital bliss, the lovebirds announced their pregnancy on April 6, 2023. And now, the soon-to-be mommy opened up about her pregnancy journey and more.
On April 29, 2023, Pankhuri Awasthy hosted an Q&A session on her Instagram handle and talked about her pregnancy journey. On being asked about her husband, Gautam Rode's reaction to her pregnancy, the mommy-to-be revealed that he is over the moon and all excited to become a father. Pankhuri also praised her husband for being supportive in her pregnancy journey and helping her with every little thing. Calling Gautam her rock, Pankhuri said:
"Gautam is over the moon. He was ready to be a father. He has been super supportive. He has been like my rock, for every little worry, for every little thing, from getting me my meals to helping me walk, he's just there. He's so present, and yeah, he's amazing."

In the same conversation, Pankhuri also opened up about her pregnancy journey. Talking about the same, the actress shed light on her first trimester and revealed that she experienced nausea and tiredness like every pregnant women. She also revealed how she prepared for her second trimester and mentioned that she started reading a lot of books on pregnancy and that kept her busy. Stating how every day is a new day in pregnancy, Pankhuri said:
"I think, every day is a new day, I mean the first months, that's the first trimester, I noticed all the signs that generally women say, like getting tired and that. Now, when you cross that first-trimester mark, they say the second trimester is the easygoing period, so what really happened was that I started reading a lot of books on pregnancy. So, that took a lot of my time, so, time just flew. I just didn't realised that I am in my sixth month now."
For her question-and-answer session with her fans, Pankhuri opted for a beautiful white-coloured co-ord set. It included an embroidered high-neck top and a matching flared skirt. The soon-to-be mommy exuded her pregnancy glow as she accentuated her look with a waist belt, oxidised silver earrings, winged eyeliner, light pink lipstick, blushed cheeks and open tresses.

On April 14, 2023, to-be-mommy, Pankhuri had taken to her Instagram handle and dropped an adorable video of herself. In the video, the soon-to-be mommy could be seen talking about her pregnancy journey. Further, in the video, Pankhuri also revealed that their pregnancy was a planned one and that they had made decisions about it after two years of marriage. In her words:
"So Gautam and I, we had decided that we will start a family after two years of marriage, but that didn't happen because work took persistence and then there was corona while everybody was getting pregnant we were just chilling. We actually started considering getting pregnant seriously in the fourth year of marriage."
