Parag Tyagi's wife, Shefali Jariwala, passed away on June 27, 2025, due to a sudden cardiac arrest. The actress was 42 and was immediately taken to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital by her husband, Parag, but was declared dead on arrival. The official cause of Shefali's death has been reserved, and ever since then, Parag has just been living with her memories. He has been hyperactive on social media even after the demise of his wife, and there have been netizens who have accused him of seeking fame in the name of Shefali's demise.

Shefali's body was sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem. However, it is being reported that her cause of demise was due to low blood pressure. Parag, on July 10, 2025, had posted a video with his hands over Shefali and their dog, Simba. He had written 'Together forever' with the song, Mere Haath Mein from Fanaa, which had Aamir Khan and Kajol. However, the sweet video was slammed by some users who accused him of seeking fame in the wake of Shefali's demise. Parag, who has been dealing with the loss of his 'Pari', took to the comments section and reacted strongly to the same. He shared:

"For those who are trying to garner attention by saying I shall not post so soon. I don’t care about the judgment you negative people have. I don’t care about you, but I do care about all the lovely people who loved her, still love her and will always love her. I am going to cherish her memories with all of you."

Parag, in his comment, also wrote that he has never been a social media person, and now Shefali is in his heart, and he will make sure that she is going to be on social media even if she is not around. Parag revealed that his Instagram account is now dedicated to the memory of Shefali. In his words:

"And want to cherish her lovely memories by sharing with her wonderful fans who deserve to see her more and forever. For those who are trying to garner attention by saying I shall not post so soon. Bhai sab log aapki tarah nahi hote. Pari loved to be on social media. And enjoyed the love poured."

Parag Tyagi put to rest rumours that his and Shefali Jariwala's dog, Simba, was unwell

After Shefali's demise, many rumours were doing the rounds that her pet, Simba, was unwell. A while back, Parag took to his Instagram handle and put an end to the speculations. In the clip, he shared that his pet, Simba, was doing all the rituals a son would do for his mom. He put an end to the false rumours by posting a clip with a caption:

"This video is for all those wonderful people who were really concerned about our baby Simba because of some heartless people spreading false news… just to garner few likes and views."
