It was on June 27, 2025, when 'Kaanta Laga' girl, Shefali Jariwala, passed away after a sudden cardiac arrest. She left behind her husband, Parag Tyagi and her lovely dog, Simba. Parag is coping with the loss of his beloved wife, with whom he had a bond since 2010, and the pair married in 2014. Parag used to fondly call Shefali 'Pari', has been missing her ever since she departed. He did reveal that his Instagram handle is now dedicated to her, where he shares fond memories of his late wife. A while ago, Parag shared an unseen video of togetherness with his late wife, Shefali and their dog, Simba.
Shefali's sudden demise has shocked the entire film industry and has left her friends, family members bereaved. Parag has also changed his Instagram profile picture, where he has updated a snap with Shefali. Now, a while back, Parag took to his reels and inserted Aamir Khan, Kajol's song, Mere Haath Mein from the movie, Fanaa. In the video, Shefali's hands were kept on his with their fingers intertwined. The late actress was seen wearing a costly watch and a finger ring on her index finger. The next part of the clip had Shefali and Parag's dog, Simba, putting his paw over their hands, and the video was all things heartbreaking. Parag captioned it as:
"Together Forever."
Shefali's final journey was held at the Oshiwara Crematorium on June 28, 2025, where Parag performed all the last rites ritual. Her asthi visarjan was done at Juhu Beach, Mumbai. After the demise of Shefali, there were reports doing the rounds that her pet, Simba, was unwell, and Parag, in an Instagram video, addressed the false claims. He was seen doing the rituals with Simba that were mandatory after the passing away of his wife. He was seen giving food packets to old women on the street who blessed him and his pet. Parag did express his sadness over people spreading false claims and shared:
"Simba is hale and hearty and doing all the rituals to be done by a son for his mom."
Parag has been paying nonstop tributes to his late wife, Shefali. In one of the heart-wrenching posts, he called Shefali 'meri gundi' and reflected on the unconditional love he shared with her. Parag on his Instagram feed has been pouring his heart by sharing unseen snaps with his late wife, and now lives with her through the countless memories they created together. Parag's pain is unmatched, and in his posts, he has expressed how, in each lifetime, he would choose Shefali. Sharing a romantic reel featuring the Kaanta Laga actress, Parag shared:
"Pari I will find you every time you are born and I will love you in every lifetime. I love you eternally meri gundi meri chokri."
As per the latest updates, the Mumbai Police took the statements of 14 people that was including Shefali's family members, domestic help and those who were in touch with Shefali. Reportedly, she passed away due to low blood pressure, cardiac arrest and heavy gastric condition.
