'Kahaani' Star, Parambrata Chattopadhyay And Wife, Piya To Become Parents Soon, 'Baby Coming Soon..'

Bengali actor, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, best known for his role as a cop, 'Satyaki Sinha' in Vidya Balan starrer, Kahaani will be embracing fatherhood soon. The Tollywood actor and his wife, Piya Chakraborty, got married in 2023 and it was on Valentine's Day 2025, that the couple announced their baby was on the way. The pair is expecting their first baby in 2025 and took to their social media feed to announce the arrival of their little one in the sweetest way.

Parambrata and Piya selected February 14, 2025, as the day to reveal to their fans that they would become parents soon. In his sweet post, the actor mentioned that he and Piya were a bit late for the Valentine's party. He then added three pictures to his post. The first one was a mushy snap of him and Piya. The second one was of his dog, Nina, who was the eldest and then in his post, he revealed how their cat, Bagha, came into their lives in 2024. The fourth one was a cute announcement post of "Baby on the way". His post further read:

"We were busy with this: This is us. This is our eldest, Nina. Then last year came Bagha. Our bubble of love is growing: a human being to join the tribe soon!"

Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Piya Chakraborty's marriage

It was in 2023 when Parambrata and Piya married at his South Kolkata home in 2023. They had an intimate registry wedding ceremony in front of their loved ones. The pair reportedly dated for two years before tying the knot. They wore simple attire for their wedding, and their home was well-lit with fairy lights. The couple was at their traditional best. The first snap was candid as Parambrata could not stop blushing and looking at his wife as she looked into something. They were seen sitting on a couch. The actor wore a rustic-hued kurta and a green-hued jacket that he had teamed with cream-hued pyjamas. Piya on the other side had worn a white and red saree that she matched with jewellery. The second snap was all things candid while in the third picture, the duo held each other's hands. The actor captioned the snaps as:

"Let us go then, you and I When the evening is spread out against the sky… This is it."

The duo never agreed to be in a relationship and reportedly dated in private. Piya works with an NGO firm, while Parambrata has immensely contributed to Bengali cinema. Piya was earlier married to ace music composer and singer, Anupam Roy.

When rumours floated that Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Piya Chakraborty were married

It was in 2023 that rumours did the rounds that Parambrata and Piya had got married in a secret wedding ceremony. He had ended the rumours and called it untrue. It was in 2021 that Piya and Anupam filed for separation and there were reports that she made the decision as she loved Parambrata.

Who is Parambrata Chattopadhyay?

The actor made his debut in Bollywood with the 2012 movie, Kahaani, which had Vidya Balan, Indraneil Sengupta, Saswata Chatterjee and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles. His famous works also include Bhalo Theko, Baishe Srabon, Sold, Kadambari, Anukul, Pari, Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi, Dwitiyo Purush, Bulbbul and Doctor Bakshi. Earlier, during an interview with the Hindustan Times, he spoke about his journey in the entertainment world and credited Hindi cinema. In his words:

"When it comes to Hindi, the amount of work and the variety [of roles] I’ve have managed to do in the last couple of years... I don’t think it would’ve been possible if OTT was not there. It has given an actor like me the scope to expand my horizon and also match our sensibilities with the kind of things we want to do."
