Parineeti Chopra is currently making headlines for her acting in Imtiaz Ali's film, Amar Singh Chamkila, which was released on Netflix. The actress gained a total weight of 15 kilograms by eating junk food and parathas to portray the role of 'Amarjot' in the film. Parineeti's appearance grabbed many eyeballs as she looked completely unrecognisable after the film. And now, the actress has reacted to the same.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Parineeti Chopra shared that when Imtiaz Ali offered her the role of 'Amarjot Kaur', she was told to gain 15 kilograms of weight. Talking about the same, the actress shared that it was not an easy task for her as she was told that she had to look her worst in the film. However, Parineeti agreed to do the film. She said:
“Imtiaz sir told me to gain 15 kgs and said there would be no makeup on my face. I had to look my worst in Chamkila and I said, ‘I will do it.”

Parineeti Chopra further added that her friends from the film industry warned her against doing the film and gaining weight for the role. She was told that the drastic transformation would disappoint her fans later and put an end to her career. However, Parineeti took inspiration from Vidya Balan and endured a lot of challenges while she was shooting for Chamkila for over two years. In her words:
“Vidya Balan inspired me to take up the challenge because she did it for The Dirty Picture. As I was shooting for Chamkila for over two years, I lost out on a lot of work. I looked my worst and there were pregnancy and plastic surgery rumours, too.”
Parineeti Chopra also opened up about her weight gain and revealed that she did not make enough public appearances during that time. Sharing the reason behind the same, she stated that her increased weight made her uncomfortable as she felt she was not looking like herself. However, now, Parineeti doesn't regret gaining weight and looking her worst in the film as it was all worth it. She said:
“I was hardly seen on any red carpet. I wasn’t even papped. Fashion had taken a back seat because I didn’t look like myself. I don’t look like myself even now. But I would still prefer 10 Chamkilas over a red carpet appearance.”
A few days back, a Reddit user shared a screengrab of one of Parineeti Chopra's latest videos. In the picture, the actress was decked up in a white-hued strappy maxi dress layered with a denim jacket. She was getting her hair done. However, it was her chin that looked completely different and grabbed a lot of attention. Sharing the photo, the netizen penned:
"Is it me who is finding her face changed and different? Why is she looking so different to me?"

Soon after the post was shared online, several netizens rushed to the comment section to react to it. They were shocked to see Parineeti's altered chin and claimed that the actress had got Botox done. A user commented, "Weight gain may be and must have stopped those crazy diets", another penned, "Chin totally different.... Botox lots of it... She is 100 percent different.." Meanwhile, some netizens also claimed that Parineeti's changed look is because of her weight gain after marriage.
