Apart from being an actor, Parvin Dabas is also an entrepreneur, who has revolutionised the sports sector by bringing arm wrestling to India. Arm wrestling has been pretty common in India for some decades now, but the way Parvin has commercialised it, following in the footsteps of Pro Kabbadi League is admirable. The actor-turned-entrepreneur's decision to choose the word 'Panja' received a lot of applause and popularity among the masses.
Parvin Dabas co-founded Pro Panja League with his wife, Preeti Jhangiani back in 2020. The first season of the Pro Panja League was held in 2023 in New Delhi's Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium and featured multiple categories. The second season of the much-awaited Pro Panja League will kickstart on October 4, 2024. The first season of the Pro Panja League was won by Kochi's KD, who defeated Kiraak Hyderabad by a scoreline of 30-28. Over 32 million people watched the first season, and as per the industry experts, the viewership is going to rise in the second season.
Parvin Dabas and his wife, Preeti Jhangiani are doing everything to make their sports league, Pro Panja League, one of the most-viewed leagues in India. Although the road is quite long, they're heavily committed to their vision and working tirelessly to achieve it. For the uninitiated, Preeti was also working in films before becoming an entrepreneur, just like her husband. She kickstarted her acting journey with a Malayalam film, Mazhavillu. However, it was her acting debut in Bollywood with the film, Mohabbatein that made her a star overnight.
Preeti Jhangiani's chemistry with Jimmy Shergill still holds a special place in the hearts of cinema lovers. In the following years, she appeared in films like Thammudu, Narasimha Naidu, Awara Paagal Deewana, LOC: Kargil, Aan: Men at Work, and Taawdo the Sunlight. Despite having a superb debut in Bollywood, Preeti couldn't make it big because people and the film industry stereotyped her and she was receiving the same kind of roles. As a result, she left the industry reportedly in 2017. However, she appeared in a small role in the 2023 web series, Kafas. Currently, Preeti and Parvin are focused on their sports league and riding high on entrepreneurship.
We hope Parvin Dabas recovers soon from his injuries and returns stronger to lead Pro Panja League to further success along with his wife, Preeti Jhangiani.
