Speaking to Hindustan Times, Pavitra Punia confirmed the news of her marriage postponement. She also revealed the exact reason behind the sudden change in plans. She shared that in December 2025, she lost her nani. That’s when her family decided to postpone the wedding. As of now, the wedding date is not yet finalised. She added that nothing will happen before August 2026. She was quoted as saying:

"Unfortunately, yes, my wedding has been postponed. I lost my nani in December last year. It was then that my family decided to move the wedding ahead by a few months. The dates haven't been finalised as of yet, but nothing before August for sure, as we've delayed it for a minimum of 6 months. It was unexpected, and we're trying to cope with it."

"Yes, I’ve found love again, and this year, Diwali is all the more special for me as I’ll be celebrating it with his family. I will be travelling to abroad as he and his family are there. I am a little sad that I won’t be celebrating Diwali with my family, but also excited to be spending time with them. He is a businessman from USA, not at all an actor. A wonderful person, and kind. We’ve been going steady for quite some time now, and it feels right."
