Payal Rohtagi Mocks Shefali Jariwala's Death Amid Divorce Buzz With Sangram? Says 'Overdose Might..'

Payal Rohatgi and Sagram Singh got married on July 9, 2022. However, their third anniversary came with a buzz that the duo was getting a divorce. It was a day before their anniversary that Payal took to her Instagram and shared that she had resigned from her husband, Sangram Singh's charitable foundation. However, while Sangram addressed the buzz, Payal took it a step further and shared screenshots of her conversation with some reporters, seemingly mocking the deceased actress, Shefali Jariwala.

Payal Rohatgi mocks Shefali Jariwala's death

Shefali Jariwala, also known as the 'Kaantan Laga Girl', passed away on June 27, 2025. However, days after her untimely demise, Payal Rohatgi was seen mocking the actress' tragic passing. Payal shared a series of screenshots on her Instagram handle on July 9, 2025. However, it was the screenshot addressing a person confirming if there was reality to Payal and Sagram's divorce that caught our attention.

In the screengrab, Payal Rohatgi can be seen responding with an extremely harsh and sarcastic tone. She asked the person not to use illegal substances and shared her apologies that they were suffering from depression. However, it was what she said afterwards that left everyone stunned. The actress seemingly made a reference to the anti-ageing drugs, which were deemed as the cause of Sefali Jariwala's demise. Payal stated that an overdose can be life-threatening, and then reports will blame the anti-ageing drugs for it. Her text could be quoted as saying:

"Sorry to know that you are suffering from depression. Kindly don't do drugs during the day. Overdose might kill you, and then it will be called that anti-ageing medication did that to you by your own paper."

Shefali Jariwala's tragic demise

Shefali Jariwala passed away on June 27, 2025, leaving her family, friends and fans in shock. While there was no foul play, it was later discovered that the actress was taking some anti-ageing drugs. However, as she was fasting the day before, she took the medication on an empty stomach, which resulted in her blood pressure dropping and her untimely death. The actress's family and friends have not even completely processed the death of their beloved, when such a remark from Payal could only cause more damage.

Payal Rohatgi and Sangram Singh have been together for 14 years and have been married for three. However, their marital bliss has not been without waves of fights and arguments. While the duo has come through to the other side every time, it was Payal's sudden resignation from Sangram Singh's charitable foundation which left everyone wondering if the duo had hit a hard patch in their marital journey. Payal took to her Instagram account on July 8, 2025 and shared her resignation letter. Along with it, Payal mentioned how the distance is important for peace. She even tagged the post with a unique hashtag 'Ladki Hoon Lad Sakti Hoon'. She wrote:

"Sometimes peace looks like distance. #PayalRohatgi #YogaSeHiHoga #LadkiHoonLadSaktiHoon."
