Peter Greene's fans were left heartbroken as it was reported that the actor was found dead at his home back in December 2025. The actor, who rose to fame with his antagonist roles in the movies, passed away at the age of 60. Back then, the reason for his demise hadn't been disclosed, except for the fact that he was found dead at his home, surrounded by no one.

Back then, it was shared that the actor's neighbours filed a report as they had been listening to the same Christmas music playing at his apartment. Following this, an investigation led the actor to be found in an unresponsive state at his home, following which he was declared dead, which was confirmed by his manager. Now, the reason for his demise has been finally disclosed, and it was due to an accidental gunshot.

Earlier, it was revealed that there was no foul play in Peter Greene's demise. On February 18, 2026, it was revealed by the New York’s Chief Medical Examiner's office, through PEOPLE, that the actor passed away from an accidental gunshot. As per the report, the actor passed away from 'a gunshot wound of the left axilla with injury of the brachial artery'. Peter Greene's death was an accident, which was caused after a bullet entered his left armpit, and damaged the artery that supplies blood to his arm, elbow, forearm and hand. It was on December 12, 2025, when Peter Greene's neighbour filed a missing report for a wellness check, and after that, it was discovered that the actor passed away.

Peter Greene was born on October 8, 1963, in Montclair, New Jersey. The actor, from a young age, knew that he had a passion for acting; however, it was not until he was in his mid-20s that he entered the acting world. Initially, he was working with several TV shows and projects. He took training at Lee Strasberg's studio. As per a report on IMDb, the actor's first leading roles were Laws of Gravity (1992) and Clean, Shaven. Shaven led Peter Greene to be noticed by Quentin Tarantino, who later offered the actor a role in the movie, Pulp Fiction, and it was a major breakthrough for him, and one of the most memorable projects he ever done. 

Some of his well-known movies were The Mask (1994), The Usual Suspects (1995), Under Siege 2: Dark Territory (1995), Blue Streak (1999), Ticker (2000), Training Day (2002), Brothers in Arms (2005), End Game (2006), Fist of the Warrior (2007), The Bounty Hunter (2010), and Once Fallen (2010).

While Peter Greene was grabbing attention with his roles in the late 90s, he was battling addiction, as reported. As per the reports, he seemingly told the Premier magazine that he was battling with drug addiction back in 1996. Reports claimed that when he was just 15 years old, he ran away from his home and was living on the streets of NYC when he became addicted towards drugs. In 2007, he was also reportedly arrested due to the possession of illegal substances. Talking about his personal life, he reportedly was never married, nor did he have any kids of his own. It was his manager who confirmed his demise, after reports surfaced, and back then, it was revealed that his family was informed about the same.
