In an interview with ETimes TV, Pooja Banerjee had a heart-to-heart conversation where she talked about her pregnancy journey. She shared that, unlike other expecting women, she didn't face any mood swings throughout her pregnancy. Sharing that her journey is different from other women, Pooja stated:
"People say that women have mood swings during pregnancy, but trust me it’s not mood swings. Every day when I wake up I look different, feel different and that’s the only reason that people term it as mood swings. There’s no such thing as mood swings I will say at least for me. I am not becoming a flag bearer for everyone else. A couple of my very close friends are also expecting and I see that their pregnancy journey is very different. I feel each body, each pregnancy is different."
Getting candid about her pregnancy phase, Pooja shared the everyday challenges faced by her and talked about her struggles. She mentioned that at times it got difficult for her to get up and go to work. Revealing how she has managed not to give up, she said:
"A couple of months ago I literally wanted to tell myself I don’t want to do this. But I’d decided that I will not say this to myself. My doctor gave me that confidence that it’s just a phase and it will be gone and you’ll be fine. Then a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to quit my job and not work. There has been phased ups and downs. The good thing is every day I make a decision and then the next day I change it. I laugh at it when I think about it. I’ve realised that during pregnancy more than anything you need your family, close friends who constantly support you and tell you that you are doing good. It takes time and you start enjoying it."

Further in the interview, Pooja Banerjee revealed that she was alone during her first trimester and nobody had pampered her. She also shared that there was no one to take care of her and added that there were days when she had wanted to quit. Talking about the same, she said:
"Everyone says you should be glowing, there should be a glow on your face, everyone is pampering you and you should be happy but not everyone goes through it. I stayed alone for the first 3 months. In the first trimester, I was completely alone. There was nobody with me at my home. So I did not get pampered with so much attention or people taking care of me. So there are days when you want to give up or you are genuinely sad or feel like crying. I don’t want to use the word but there are days when you want to say I want to quit. But every day you say to yourself that every day is going to be a good day. That’s what the mother does, fighting under all the circumstances."
Pooja also talked about the toughest phase of her pregnancy journey and shared that in the initial months, nobody knew that she was expecting. And, when on some days she got really sick or nauseous, she would get late for shoots. Sharing how her mother, mother-in-law and husband, helped her to get through it, Pooja said:
"There were days when I would have car keys in hand and I would think if I should go for the shoot. I was feeling nauseous or I was just not in my mood. The people on the set would wait for me to come so that they can start shooting. It was so difficult because at that point nobody knew that I was pregnant. That was the toughest phase I dealt with. My mother, my husband and my mother-in-law gave me the courage, love and confidence that I can do it. Specifically, my mother was the one who would give her own examples how she would travel for 2 hours during three of her pregnancies and that what I was going through was nothing."
Pooja Banerjee is all set to welcome her first child next month and she has turned her motherhood mode on. When asked if she and her husband, Sandeep Sejwal ever talk about having a boy or a girl, Pooja said:
“We keep thinking how are we going to be as parents. Both of us are very happy with both girl or boy. We just want a happy healthy baby. We just don’t discuss a lot about the baby we just think about how are we going to be as parents. We talk more about parenting. I think Sandeep will be a stricter parent and I give in very easy. The saddest part is I’ve no cravings. Only my husband Sandeep has more cravings than me. He has mood swings, cravings and he is experiencing everything for me."
On the work front, Pooja was last seen in the television show, Kumkum Bhagya!
