Prabhas and Anushka Shetty, both have time and again poured water into their steaming dating rumours and have always maintained a ‘good friends’ stance. In fact, the top three Baahubali stars, comprising of Prabhas, Rana Daggupati and the brainchild of the film, SS Rajamouli had appeared on the last season of Koffee With Karan. When the topic about Anushka and Prabhas’ relationship was brought up, the latter had blatantly refused the rumours of their dating and had shared, “If any two people will work together for two years, of course, they will be linked. But I wasn't dating Anushka. Ask Raj (Rajamouli) if you want."
After Baahubali, we all cannot be more excited to watch Prabhas on the big screen again with his action-thriller titled Saaho, opposite Shraddha Kapoor. As eagerly as we are waiting for August 30, 2019, to come by (the film’s release date), we guess, Prabhas’ ‘just good friend’, Anushka Shetty too can’t keep calm! Hence, as per a TOI report, Prabhas is busy arranging a private screening of his soon-to-release film, Saaho, especially for Anushka. Though there is no official confirmation on the same, we really hope this piece of gossip proves to be true!
According to a Pinkvilla report sometime back, Anushka Shetty had refuted her relationship rumours with Prabhas and was quoted as saying, "We are just very good friends. And there’s nothing between Prabhas and me except friendship. We are definitely not getting married.” She had also shared in another interview, "Prabhas and I are not getting married. Please do not expect Baahubali and Devasena like chemistry in real life. It is only for the screen." As per Cinestaan, Anushka had stated, "There is no truth in rumours doing the rounds that my parents are compelling me to get married. First, we have to find a good person. If I like him, then, the wedding will take place. I will invite friends, family, fans and well-wishers and will get married before them with their blessings." Talking about his friendship with Anushka Shetty, Prabhas had shared to a portal, "When we first worked together we had decided that at no cost we would allow rumours of our linkup float around. We have been film friends for nine years now. We are very good friends. We have known each other for years but I admit sometimes when such stories start doing the rounds, then I too start wondering if there is, indeed, something between us."
About Prabhas and Anushka Shetty’s apparent budding relationship, a friend close to Prabhas’ family had once shared in an interview, “There is a very strong friendship. But both of them have never allowed that friendship to grow into anything deeper because they know there is no future for them. Prabhas’ family won’t allow it. He will never go against his father and uncle’s will. He will have an arranged marriage.”
In an interview with the ET, Prabhas had reacted to his marriage rumours with the co-star, Anushka Shetty, “It's my private matter and I don’t want to reveal anything.” Prabhas had further shared that whenever he will decide to get engaged, he will definitely inform the media. Earlier, reports had also suggested that Prabhas and Anushka are already engaged, but the Telugu superstar neither accepted not denied the rumours to a media portal, “I do not want to reveal my private life. Many people ask me if I have affairs and the issue of marriage crops up invariably. But these people should understand me. Don’t ask me about my marriage. It looks very superficial. In an interview, Anushka Shetty had talked about settling down and her marriage plans and had revealed, “I totally believe in marriage, but I want to get married and have children at the right time and when I meet someone who connects with me. I like children very much but I don’t want to marry out of compulsion.” She had further gone on to say, “When I was 20, they started telling me to get married! But it has to come at the right time and they know the person that I am. They respect what I feel and don’t pressurise me anymore.”
