Prakash Kaur Defended Sunny Deol On Attacking Hema Malini, 'If There Is Another Woman Who Loves...'

Dharmendra bid adieu to the world at the age of 89 and left behind his grief-stricken family and friends. The actor was known for his charismatic personality and charming presence. Though the world knows about his love story with Hema Malini, his first wife, Prakash Kaur, stayed devoted to him throughout their 70 years of married life.

For the unversed, it was in 1954 when 19-year-old Dharmendra married Prakash Kaur. Their wedding was an arranged marriage, and he was struggling to make a name in the cinema. Soon they welcomed four kids, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta, and Ajeeta. However, despite being married to Prakash, Dharmendra fell in love with Hema Malini. Without divorcing Prakash, Dharmendra married Hema.

Did Sunny Deol attack Hema Malini after she married Dharmendra?

When Dharmendra married Hema Malini, his elder son, Sunny Deol, was 24 and was reportedly displeased with his father’s decision. He felt betrayed by his father’s second marriage and, in a fit of rage, reportedly attacked Hema. As per multiple reports, Sunny couldn’t take his father’s second marriage and allegedly tried to harm Hema.

Prakash Kaur dismissed the rumours of Sunny Deol attacking Hema Malini

In a rare throwback interview with Stardust, Prakash Kaur refuted the rumours that Sunny Deol attacked Hema Malini and dismissed the claims. Prakash also defended the reports while stating that every child wishes their father loved them more than their mother. Speaking about the same, she said:

“This is not true. Every kid wants his father to love his mom the most in the entire world. But this doesn’t mean he would attack if there is another woman who loves his father as well. I am not well-read or educated, but my kids believe I am the most beautiful woman in the entire world. I have raised my kids well, and they have inculcated good manners. I am very sure they will never do anything that hurts someone.”

Prakash Kaur bashed reports calling Dharmendra a ‘womaniser’

In the same interaction, Prakash Kaur also stated that people had no right to call Dharmendra a ‘womaniser’ as he has been fulfilling his duties towards both his wives. She also stated that half of the industry was either having an extramarital affair or getting married, so why did people only blame her husband? Not just this, she went so far as to compare herself to Hema Malini and revealed that any man would have fallen for her. 

Prakash also described Dharmendra as a loving father and caring husband, very affectionate towards his family. In the rare interaction, Prakash also mentioned that despite his marriage to the most beautiful woman, the actor chose to come home every day, and that was what mattered to her.
