Prakash Raj Breaks Silence On His Exit From Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Film, 'Spirit', 'Some Nonsense...'

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film, Spirit, is one of the most anticipated films. Currently, the film is making headlines as a while ago a few reports claimed that actor, Prakash Raj walked out of the much-awaited film, starring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri. Well, now the K.G.F. Chapter 2 actor has broken his silence and revealed the truth behind the rumours.

Is Prakash Raj quitting Spirit?

A few hours ago, a source close to the actor and the film, Spirit claimed that Prakash Raj had walked out of the upcoming film, Spirit after having an argument with the team. However, the Singham actor, a few moments ago, had a conversation with the Hindustan Times, in which he shut down all the rumours and revealed that he is still very much a part of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film. Prakash Raj was quoted as saying:

"Some nonsense speculations these are. I am not aware of it."

How did the rumours around Prakash Raj’s exit start?

The rumours around Prakash Raj’s removal from Spirit began on February 9, 2026, when a report by OTTPlay claimed that the actor was removed by the director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, as they were having a lot of arguments regarding the making of the film. A source had alleged that the makers couldn’t tolerate Prakash Raj’s behaviour and thus, removed him. The source had shared:

"It is also being said that Prakash Raj’s behaviour during a few instances did not go down well with the makers, prompting them to take the drastic decision of removing him from the film. As of now, there is no official confirmation, but the news is spreading rapidly in film circles."

Deepika Padukone’s exit from Spirit

Rumours around Prakash Raj’s removal from the film, Spirit came a few months after Deepika Padukone’s exit from the action thriller film, starring Prabhas. For those who do not know, the Ye Jaawani Hai Deewaani actress was supposed to be the female lead of the film; however, she left the film without giving any reasons. Later, it was reported that Deepika had asked for a hike in her salary and demanded an 8-hour shift. Reportedly, the director did not agree with her, leading to her exit. Triptii Dimri replaced Deepika Padukone in the film.

What to expect from the film, Spirit?

Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga is one of the most-awaited films. While plot details have been kept under wraps, some reports claim that the narrative of the movie will revolve around Prabhas, a police officer who ends up in prison. The film is expected to explore themes like justice and revenge. The first look of the action thriller was released a few weeks ago, which featured a wounded Prabhas and Triptii Dimri. Apart from them, reportedly, the film also stars Vivek Oberoi, Kanchana, Prakash Raj and more. For the unversed, the film will release on March 5, 2027.
