The actor is making headlines as he tied the knot with actress, Priya Banerjee on February 14, 2025. The couple shared a few pictures in the evening to confirm their union and greeted the media outside Prateik's mother and late actress, Smita Patil's home, where they tied the knot. Prateik Babbar got emotional at his wedding with Priya Banerjee and sang for her 

A while ago, the newlywed bride, Priya Banerjee, took to her Instagram handle and shared some inside glimpses from the wedding in the stories section. In one of her stories, she re-shared a guest's post that captured the moment Prateik Babbar got emotional after watching her arrive at the mandap and sit beside him for the rituals. Later, Priya was seen consoling the actor as they continued with the wedding ceremony.

Soon after tying the knot, the newlywed couple slipped into party mode. Prateik and Priya accepted greetings from the selected guests at their private wedding, including their close friends and family members. They cleared up the wedding mandap and brought mics and music players out. At the same time, Prateik Babbar was seen taking up the mic and began singing along with his friends for his bride, and later, the newlywed couple danced on the same. 

Prateik Babbar paid homage to his late mother, Smita Patil, at his wedding

Prateik Babbar is the son of Raj Babbar and the late actress, Smita Patil, who passed away due to childbirth complications. Despite not spending time with his mother, Prateik has always shared deep admiration for his mother and ensures that he includes her memories in some way or another during big moments. So, Prateik tied the knot with the love of his life, Priya, at Smita Patil's home in Bandra and kept a big photo frame of her nearby throughout the wedding ceremony. Sharing the reason behind getting married at Smita's residence, Prateik said to Vogue: 

"We desired a 'ghar ki shaadi,' and getting married to the love of my life here — the first house my mom bought and my home — was the best way to honour her in spirit."

Prateik Babbar and Priya Banerjee chose to wear custom wedding outfits designed by Tarun Tahiliani. The Dhobi Ghat actor wore a silk drape shirt paired with a pre-stitched charmeuse dhoti and a pleated kamarband. His sherwani jacket was adorned with hand-embroidered chikankari design and French knots. Prateik paired it with a custom necklace of ivory pearls and floral motifs. On the other hand, Priya looked gorgeous in a resham-embroidered fishtail skirt embellished with crystals, sequins, pearls, beads and a structured corset. She added a veil to her look and kept it when she entered the mandap. The actress tied her hair back in a bun and kept her makeup simple with a few pieces of jewellery to complete her look.
