Preity Zinta made her acting debut with a supporting role in the 1998 film, Dil Se. In the same year, she appeared in the blockbuster hit movie, Soldier, and it gave her immense stardom. She also bagged a Filmfare Award in the Best Female Debut category for the same film. However, with the immense success coming in Preity's professional career, she also got entangled in a number of controversies along with her contemporaries. Now, we stumbled upon a video from one of her candid conversations, wherein Preity addressed the same issues.
Recently, a Reddit user shared a video of Preity Zinta from one of her chats on the popular reality show, Koffee With Karan. In the video, she was asked by the show's host, Karan Johar, about her catfights with her contemporaries, including Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor. Karan was heard saying, "There was like, always talks about, you know, you and Rani on war path. You and Kareena, having problems. And you know, Rani coming on this very show and saying, "Oh, Preity talks too much, and she should keep her opinions to herself." To this, Preity hilariously mentioned that whenever she met Rani post her revelation on the show, she used to zip her mouth. She said:
"Yeah. But I always joke with Rani. Everytime I meet Rani, I go zip. And she's like, 'No babe, I didn't mean that'."

But Karan, without getting a satisfying answer, yet again asked her, "What is the repercussion of that? Were you shocked when you heard, she said that on the show?" With this, Karan hit at Rani's statement on Preity, when the Hichki actress had complained about the non-stop chattering of her. Listening to this, Preity immediately affirmed that she had then confronted Rani by asking her why didn't she complain about the same directly to her, and shared:
"I told Rani, I said 'Why you said this? Why don't you say it to me on my face?' And she says 'No, but babe, I was just kidding and all that.' Which I believe her because when I work with her, I don't have a problem working with her. You know, and I am pretty instinctive that way. As long as I don't have a problem working with her, she is entitled to her opinion also, as I am entitled to my opinion."
Afterwards, Karan asked, "And your opinion of her (Rani) is?" To which, Preity revealed, "My opinion of her is, she is great.' But Karan then asked about Preity's equation with Kareena, and if its all sorted now. To this, Preity talked about how things change with age and time. Thus, speaking on the same lines, she mentioned how it doesn't matter to her now, even if someone ignores her, unlike in earlier times. Finally revealing how she is always dragged into controversies, Prerity shared:
"I think, I have grown up also. I become much more calmer in life. I mean earlier, if someone didn't day hello to me, I was like that's bad manners, that's rude. But whenever I meet her, it's okay. I say hi to her. If she doesn't say hi to me, I am okay with that. I have no issue. But I do believe that I am controversy's favourite chile. I don't know, why? I always get dragged into some psycho controversies which I don't understand, like where did it come from."

Soon after Preity's video went viral on social media, netizens started reacting to it. While one user mentioned, "Difference between Preity and Rani career after 2007-08 is one of them is married to Aditya Chopra", another one commented, "Preity as an outsider took this non sense from nepo kids like Rani & Bebo quite well and maintained her dignity." One more social media user praised Preity and mentioned, "That’s Original. I like she answered what she felt in a decent tone even though she was hurt and offended."
