Priscilla Presley And Riley Keough Slam Lawsuit, 'Our Shared Priority Remains Protecting Elvis...'

Elvis Presley's ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, has been embroiled in controversy over alleged fraud and breach of contract. Her former business partners accused her of fraud after she falsely claimed ownership of Promenade Trust and Graceland, owned by her daughter, Lisa Marie. The lawsuit also accused Presley of leading her only daughter to an early death.

Priscilla Presley and Riley Keough slam lawsuit

Amid the allegations, Priscilla Presley and her granddaughter, Riley Keough, issued a joint statement slamming the hurtful allegations. Claiming that the allegations are untrue, Priscilla and Riley told People:

“We are aware of the latest allegations from Brigitte Kruse. These claims are not only untrue but also deeply hurtful. Our family is, and always has been, united in love and respect for one another.”

Their joint statement also claimed that their priority remains Lisa Marie’s memory and protecting Elvis’ legacy with dignity. The statement also clearly directed outsiders to stay away from their family matters and not interfere in their disputes. They, as a family, would not allow anyone to diminish their strength.

Riley Keough accused Priscilla Presley of her heartbreaking actions after Lisa Marie’s death

Riley and Priscilla’s joint statement comes after the former’s letter to her grandmother, Presley was made public. For the unversed, on September 3, 2025, Priscilla’s former business associates, Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko, submitted a letter allegedly sent from Keough to Priscilla in which she accused the latter of unruly behaviour.

The letter was supposedly an email sent to Priscilla in January 2023, which is claimed to be written by Riley. An excerpt from the letter can be read as:

“Unfortunately Nona as you are taking me to court I am being forced to defend my mother’s wishes legally and publicly which would not have been my choice. It is really hurtful that after years of me trying to resolve your and my mother’s broken relationship and restore our family, you are taking me, of all the people to court.”

The email allegedly written by Riley also revealed that Priscilla and her daughter, Lisa Marie, had been at loggerheads since 2016. The email also had details of Riley telling Priscilla about the financial fraud. It can be read as:

“My mother very loudly and clearly asserted to many people, including you, that she felt you had financially and personally betrayed her.”

Priscilla Presley was accused of leading her only daughter, Lisa Marie, to death

Lisa Marie was the only daughter of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley. After Elvis’ death, Lisa became the sole heir to his fortune. However, on January 12, 2023, Lisa passed away at the age of 54 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Priscilla’s former partners, Kruse and Fialko, accused Priscilla of ‘pulling the plug’ on her daughter.

The lawsuit filed by Kruse and Fialko revealed that Priscilla was aware that her daughter was preparing to remove her as the sole head of her trust. It also claimed that Priscilla prematurely withdrew life-saving medical treatment for Lisa, with the aim of gaining control of the estate.
