Priya Gill's Old Statement On Slapping Shah Rukh Khan Surfaces, 'I Will Never Forget..'

If you have been a Shah Rukh Khan and watched the movie, Josh, you will know that in the movie, he was slapped by the actress, Priya Gill. It was in a song where the actress hit him, and in an old interview which has now surfaced, the actress spoke about slapping SRK and also remembered how the slap incident was one of the most embarrassing moments she had faced in her entire career.

Priya Gill reveals being uncomfortable slapping Shah Rukh Khan

An old interview of Priya with the Lehren resurfaced, where Priya spoke about the time of working with SRK in Josh. She had one of the most uncomfortable times of her film career as the movie scene demanded she slap the actor during the sequence of the song. Priya shared of slapping the megastar repeatedly and noted:

"I’ll tell you, the most embarrassing thing I did in my entire film career was when I slapped Shah Rukh. I had to slap him, in the song, at the beginning of the song. We were doing this repeated, repeated thing in Goa. And Mansoor kept telling me, ‘Priya, it’s not coming with the kind of force that the girl is mad at him.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, okay,’ and I kept trying, you know. And Shah Rukh said, ‘You hit me… hit me.’ And Mansoor said, ‘Hit him, hit him,’ you know? I had to punch him. I couldn’t help it."

When Priya Gill slapped Shah Rukh Khan, everyone went silent

Priya, going ahead, shared that she would never forget slapping Shah Rukh Khan and shared that the impact of her slap had caused stoic silence. The camera kept rolling, and she shared that the director did not say cut. Priya shared that the cameraman had told her that SRK's female fans will hate her for slapping him. In her words:

"I remember KV the cameraman telling me, ‘Girls are going to hate you because you hit Shah Rukh.’ I think he was really sweet about it because after, he was explaining to me how it should be done right, and I didn’t know what to say. After that, the song starts. So imagine how much tension I felt, and how cool he was about the whole thing."

For Priya Gill, working with Shah Rukh Khan was a dream

Priya had done a bold act of slapping the megastar. She had then expressed that for her, it was a dream to work with King Khan as she was his fan since her childhood. She agreed not to be a die-hard fan as they only see the acting side.  Priya always had a soft corner for SRK and used to take a look at him on the small screen. In her words:

"He used to come in the serials, and then he became a huge star. But you know, you never think that one day you’re going to be with this guy. And I was totally in awe of him."

Priya also shared that she was nervous while working with Shah Rukh Khan as she feared his reaction as his co-star. She was worried about what he would tell her if she did something wrong, as he is a big star. Priya had doubts, but the King of Romance, a.k.a SRK, was the sweetest to her.
