Priya Malik, who rose to fame with her stint in the reality show, Bigg Boss 9, is soon going to be a mother. Priya tied the knot with her beau, Karan Bakshi, in an intimate wedding in 2022. Now, they are counting the days to meet their first baby as Priya is pregnant. Talking about her professional front, she featured in many TV shows like Savdhaan India, Crime Patrol, Nazar, and others.
On March 14, 2024, Priya Malik took to her IG handle to share a series of pictures from her Godhbharai ceremony. For the occasion, Priya wore a vintage-style pure silk salwar kameez paired with mughal booti jhaalar odhni. The mommy-to-be accentuated her look with pattra-style jewels, handmade parandi, and subtle makeup. Karan, on the other hand, looked dapper in a blue-hued cotton kurta-pyjama paired with a printed Nehru jacket.

Priya and Karan were seen having a gala time at the fun-filled event, and the glimpses were proof of the happiness on their faces. Priya was also seen holding stuffed Ganesha and Saraswati Maa idols as she posed for the lens. The duo religiously performed all the rituals and ceremonies at the event and sought blessings for their baby-to-be. Sharing the pictures, she penned:
"Couldn’t have asked for a better Godbharai/Baby shower, surrounded by god, friends, family, sunshine, laughter, gol gappe and nariyal paani. Thank you to everyone who came, shone in their presence and blessed us. Brownie points for those who know this song."
It was on February 7, 2024, that Priya Malik surprised her fans by announcing her pregnancy on her Instagram handle. She shared the first-ever pictures of her baby bump in a white-hued maxi dress. She was seen sitting with her husband, Karan Bakshi, who held her in his arms, while their cat looked at them in awe. Priya was fondly cradling her baby bump as the lens clicked them. Sharing the photos, Priya wrote:
"Mother is mothering."

Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Priya Malik opened up about her first pregnancy and revealed that she had a miscarriage in 2023. The mommy-to-be also shared that every ultrasound felt like an exam during her pregnancy, and she was scared that she would fail. Priya revealed that she had frozen her eggs, and she conceived naturally this time. She was quoted as saying:
“People talk about pregnancy, but not miscarriage. That was a difficult phase. I remember how after I got pregnant again, every ultrasound would feel like an exam that you are scared that you may fail. You don’t know when to celebrate with everyone. You don’t know whether to feel anxious, excited, or nervous, but gradually, you do learn to trust your body."
