Priya Malik Faces Horrific Accident, Being Engulfed By The Flames Of Diya 'My Entire Back, Bottom..'

Priya Malik is a famous actress in the television industry who rose to fame with her stint in the reality show Bigg Boss 9. Apart from that, she was also seen in Nazar, Crime Patrol, and Savdhaan India, amongst many others. Apart from her acting career, Priya is also known for her poetic venture. She began her career as a spoken-word artist and grabbed the attention over the years. Well, the actress recently shared a horrific incident that she faced on Diwali 2025. She took to her social media and shared the shocking incident that could have even taken her life if her dad hadn't saved her.

Priya Malik faces a horrific incident on Diwali as she gets engulfed by the fire, and gets saved by her father

Taking to her IG handle, a while ago, Priya Malik shared that on the night of October 20, 2025, she faced a horrific incident while celebrating Diwali. The actress revealed that the flame of a diya engulfed her back while she was taking a selfie with her. She revealed that from her shoulder, bun to the entire back and bottom was engulfed in the fire even before she knew it. Priya could only see a flame rising from her shoulder, and within just a second, things turned horrific.

Priya's dad saved her by tearing her burning clothes apart, which was the only way to be saved. The incident left a traumatic mark in Priya's memory, and she mentioned that she could never have imagined something like this could happen, and realised how a simple careless moment could have cost her life. She further added that she's doing fine now and has superficial burns on her shoulder, back, and fingers. The actress said that she's thankful that she was not holding her baby, and shared that while she will continue to celebrate Diwali, this incident will carry a trauma for her.

Priya Malik's personal life

For the unversed, Priya Malik is married to Karan Bakshi. The duo tied the knot in 2022, and two years later, they welcomed their son, Zorawar Shahib Singh Bakshi, into their lives. For the unversed, Priya's journey towards motherhood wasn't easy as well, as she suffered a miscarriage before she got pregnant with Zorawar. In an interview with The Times of India, Priya Malik once revealed that she had an unplanned pregnancy earlier.

Priya also stated that she had to suffer a painful miscarriage, eventually. The actress said that it was a very difficult phase in her life, and coming to another pregnancy from that loss was different. Priya added that she had always wanted to be a mom and had even planned to freeze her eggs, but later, she conceived naturally and welcomed her child. For the unversed, Priya and her husband Karan welcomed their baby boy on the auspicious occasion of Choti Holi on March 24, 2024.
