In a telephonic conversation with ABP News, Tufani Saroj revealed that Rinku Singh's family talked to his elder son-in-law about the prospect of a marriage between their son and Priya. 

Revealing further details of the conversation between the two families, Tufani Saroj admitted that he was glad to hear about it. The Samajwadi MP from the Jaunpur constituency also added that he is seriously considering getting his daughter, Priya Saroj, married to Rinku Singh. Although Tufani Saroj clearly stated that both families are ready for Priya and Rinku's marriage, he also added that Rinku and Priya are not engaged yet. The doting father ended the engagement ceremony reports by saying that engagement is due and it is a matter of marriage.

Priya Saroj was born on November 23, 1998, in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi. While her father, Tufani Saroj, is a vital member of the Samajwadi Party, not much is known about his wife, Munni Devi.

Talking about Samajwadi Party's MP, Priya Saroj's educational qualifications, she completed her schooling at the Air Force Golden Jubilee Insitute in New Delhi. For graduation, she took admission to Delhi University and attained a Bachelor of Arts degree. After graduating, Priya pursued a Bachelor of Laws degree from Noida's Amity University. Before venturing into politics, Priya Saroj has also reportedly worked at the Supreme Court as a lawyer for some time.

Priya Saroj's political career kickstarted back when she took part in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. The young politician received a lot of backing from her father, Tufani Saroj's supporters. As a result, Priya Saroj defeated veteran Bharatiya Janata Party leader, BP Saroj by a margin of 35,850 votes. It was a ground-breaking win for the young politician, who became the MP of Machhlishahr constituency. With her historic win in her debut election, Priya Saroj became India's youngest female politician to become a Member of Parliament (MP). When she became the MP, Priya was just 25 years and 7 months old.
