Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, along with his beloved wife, Nita Ambani, is hosting pre-wedding festivities for their youngest son, Anant Ambani. The young businessman is going to tie the knot with Radhika Merchant in July 2024. For the duo’s extravagant pre-wedding bash, scores of people from different walks of life have been invited. Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, Bill Gates and his GF, Paula Hurd, Ivanka Trump and her family, several other foreign dignitaries, and the majority of Bollywood are a part of the Ambanis illustrious guest list.

Madhu Chopra reveals why Priyanka Chopra is missing from Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities

However, people cannot help but notice that our very own ‘Desi Girl’, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been missing from the celebrations in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Previously, the global star had been a part of most of the events hosted by the Ambanis, but she was absent from this ongoing grand gala. Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, who arrived at the Ambanis’ celebrations in Jamnagar, revealed the reason behind the same.

In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Priyanka’s mother first shared her long-standing desire to visit Jamnagar. She expressed her joy that Anant-Radhika’s pre-wedding was taking place in the city, and she could finally visit Jamnagar. Further, when the interviewer inquired why PeeCee could not make it to the celebrations, Madhu gave a very vague answer. She said:

“She will make up for it, don’t worry.”

While Priyanka missed her sister, Parineeti Chopra’s wedding, in September 2023, she attended the opening night of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival that took place in October 2023. Priyanka, along with her husband and American singer, Nick Jonas, attended the launch of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in March 2023.
