Ameesha Patel is one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood. She enjoys a massive fanbase and is loved by many for her impeccable acting mettle and gorgeous looks. For the unversed, Ameesha made her debut in the Hindi film industry with the movie, Kaho Naa….Pyaar Hai in 2000, which was a massive box office hit. Currently, the actress is busy with her upcoming movie, Gadar 2, in which she will be reunited with Sunny Deol. Recently in an interview, the actress shared that her contemporaries could not handle her success and were jealous of her. However, amid all these, an old video of Priyanka Chopra and Esha Deol handing an award to Ameesha went viral, wherein Priyanka could be seen not letting Esha announce, and needless to say, it instantly grabbed all the attention.
An old video of Priyanka Chopra and Esha Deol from an award show was shared on a Reddit thread. In the video, both actresses looked stunning as they wore black-hued ensembles. While Priyanka looked stunning in a black saree, Esha slayed in a black salwar suit. However, in the video, we can see Priyanka announcing the name of Ameesha Patel as she bagged the award for the best debut female. What grabbed the attention was when Esha Deol tried to take the mic from Priyanka, and the latter slightly ignored it and continued announcing the winner's name. Moreover, at the end of the video, we can see Esha handing the award to Ameesha.

As soon as the video went online, fans started bombarding the comment section. While some users thought it was normal for one actress to announce the winner's name and the other to hand over the award, others remained a bit irked by Priyanka not letting Esha announce. Some even targeted Esha's body language. A certain section of netizens trolled PC for not letting Esha announce and called it 'passive aggressiveness'. Reacting to the photo, one user commented, "The passive aggressiveness is next level." Another user wrote, "Did Esha and Kareena get their attitude from the same place?" Another comment can be read as "PC being a rude b here." Calling the incident a possible miscommunication, a user explained:
"Isn’t it usually if one person announces it, the other hands the award. i think they just didn’t rehearse prior to stepping out on stage how they wanted to do it, or it was miscommunication. Plus it might’ve been as simple as etiquette. The stepping in between pc and Ameesha might’ve been because she didn’t want to walk around pc and then hand her the award, or she was just mad she couldn’t announce. Who knows lol. It was honestly just awkward, not catty or bitchy imo. Also whatever esha is wearing is so adorable. I love it. Super classy."

Recently, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ameesha Patel spilt some beans about her early days in the industry. Recalling the old times, the actress stated that she was being called a 'snob' as she tried to keep her distance from gossiping on the sets and indulged herself in reading. Ameesha called herself an 'educated outsider' and revealed that her contemporaries were jealous of her and couldn't handle her success. Elaborating more on the same, Ameesha shared:
"God was kind, he knew I didn’t have a godfather so he gave me successful films but my contemporaries could not handle that. There was a lot of jealousy, snatching films from under your nose. There was a lot of cutting you off from films which I did not realise at that time that I have signed my films, blocked my dates but suddenly I am not on that set and a few months later someone else is.”
