Ranveer Allahbadia is all over the news, after his one wrong remark when he attended India's Got Latent. The show, which was the most-watched reality show of all time, suffered a huge loss as Samay Raina was forced to delete videos of India's Got Latent. Now, a video of Priyanka Chopra has been making rounds, wherein she was seen schooling Ranveer Allahbadia on the importance of family despite attaining stardom.
Recently, a clip of Ranveer and Priyanka from his podcast surfaced on the internet. In the clip, Ranveer questioned Priyanka about whether she could still attend a family function. Priyanka looked confused and questioned what he meant. Further explaining himself, Ranveer stated that she had attained massive fame and asked if that fame allowed her to attend a family function.
Priyanka, who is extremely down to earth and doesn't let her success get to her head, clearly stated that family is the most important thing for her. The fame is the by-product of her job, but it is not that she is living for it. Priyanka's words were like a 'golden key' as she beautifully gave Ranveer the mantra of a happy life. She was quoted as saying:
"So, you are saying I am not gonna dance on the baraat of my brother's wedding? Maybe nahi bhai, of course, my cousins, my brothers, and family is the most important to me. Fame is a by-product of my job. It does not define me. My fame is not my job. It is very clear to me. I'm not famous for a living, I work for a living. And fame comes with it. So, it's not something I can control. It's something that's thrust upon me."
Well, Priyanka's video made rounds at a time when Ranveer faced major backlash for his crass remark on India's Got Latent. He asked the contestant whether they would watch their parents get intimate or join them to end it once and for all. It left even Samay Raina in shock, and everyone on the panel too.
On February 10, 2025, after the issue was blown and Ranveer got massive hate from across the nation, he released an apology video. He stated that his comment was was not even funny and just inappropriate. He added that comedy wasn't his forte and he just wanted to apologise. Ranveer went on to say:

"My comment was not just inappropriate, it was not even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wished to use my platform and obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here to apologise. I personally had a lapse in judgement. It was not cool on my part."
Well, Priyanka beautifully explained the importance of family to Ranveer, but seems like he was just recording the podcast and not understanding the concept!
