Priyanka Chopra Recalls Shooting 'Fashion' With 'Prolific Actor', Kangana 'I Had 110-120 Costumes..'

She revisited a cherished memory of working on Madhur Bhandarkar's 2008 hit, Fashion, alongside Kangana Ranaut and Mugdha Godse. 

Priyanka Chopra reveals she had 110 to 120 costume changes in Fashion

Priyanka Chopra recently sat down for a conversation with Vogue and recalled some highlights of her career. One of the initial milestones she discussed was shooting for Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion, which marked a turning point in her career. Priyanka looked at one particular picture of the film and shared some heartfelt memories. She recalled that at that time, she had been in the film industry for just about four years and was quite nervous about taking on a female-led film. The actress said:

"Fashion. This was 2008, around that time, and this is one of my first female-led movies. I had been in movies for like 4 years or something, so I was really nervous about it. I worked on it for like 6 months."

She also fondly recalled working with her 'prolific actors' Kangana Ranaut and Mugdha Godse in the film. Priyanka recalled how Kangana, who played the role of a troubled model in the film, won a prestigious award along with her for the film. Recalling how she had more than 100 costume changes to portray the character of a model 'Meghana Mathur', Priyanka said:

"It was just a really life-changing movie, and I had 120 or 110 costume changes in the film because it was like the life of this model. I remember that it was really talked about, that I wore like 110 outfits in this movie because it was Fashion."
