Recently, the global superstar sat for a conversation with Cavanaugh James on his podcast, Read The Room. While conversing, the host asked PeeCee about the most surprising thing she encountered during her motherhood journey. The actress revealed that she could no longer sleep the way she used to before having her baby girl. Sharing how she used to wake up in the middle of the night, Priyanka added:

"I cannot sleep the way I used to sleep. I am the lightest sleeper, I can hear everything, I am so vigilant when it comes to a cry or a sound. There’s no reason, but I am just like (gasps) ‘Everything okay?’ I look into the camera, ‘Oh, it’s 2 am, okay.’ ‘Oh, she’s (Malti Marie) still asleep; it’s 4:30.’ Why do I want to wake up at 7:30? Because she’s up. I used to sleep at 10 am, be up all night."

Priyanka Chopra talks about how she had to start everything from scratch when she shifted to the West

During the same conversation, Priyanka also spoke about transitioning from Bollywood to Hollywood and the challenges she encountered when she switched her place of work. Despite her extensive filmography in Indian showbiz, Priyanka faced several rejections in the West. However, PeeCee kept moving forward and looked at the rejections as humbling experiences. She kept her head down and did all the hard yards to reach the stage where she is now at present. Sharing how she promised not to be upset about rejections, Priyanka added

“I started right from the beginning. I have been on the cover of a certain magazine six times in my country, but in the US, they wouldn't even take a meeting with me. That took a lot, and I was like it’s okay! It humbles you to be like this is where I am right now. I was like I am not going to be upset by it, or I am not going to say that's a closed door, I am going to navigate something else. I put my head down and did the work. I didn't bring my pride of 'I am a leading lady and blah blah...' I didn’t do that and that's what helped me find a position in which I am today.”
