Priyanka Chopra's cousin sister, Mannara Chopra made headlines after her director kissed her unexpectedly during the promotion of her upcoming film, Thiragabadara Saami. While the director received a lot of hate for his actions, Mannara was left in shock. For those who don't know, Mannara Chopra is the cousin of Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra. She has worked in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu cinema.
For those who don't know, Mannara and her director's kissing video went viral on August 30, 2023. However, the actress remained tight-lipped about the incident for days. But on September 5, 2023, Mannara issued a clarification. The actress defended the director and revealed that he had no bad intentions towards her. She added that at times people don't understand what they are doing when they are excited.

Mannara added that the director likes her work a lot. She was quoted as saying:
"The viral news has nothing to do with the director. He likes my work in the film a lot. Even when I'm not shooting, my team members call me to say that they are missing me. So I just think that he (director) got over-excited. I was surprised when the video went viral and the way it got picked up. Whatever happened, I think he just did it out of excitement. I don't think his intention was wrong."
For those who don't know, Mannara made her Bollywood debut with Vivek Agnihotri's film, Zid in 2014. She even showed off her acting talent in Telugu films like Prema Geema Jantha Nai, Jakkanna, Thikka, Rogue and Sita, among others.
