Priyanka Chopra is one of the finest actresses in the entertainment industry. In her personal life, Priyanka got married to the man of her dreams and the famous singer, Nick Jonas in 2018. In 2022, Nick and PeeCee hopped onto the parenting journey with the arrival of their baby girl, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Time and again, Priyanka has proved that she is a doting mom. Now, the diva's mom, Madhu Chopra spilled the tea about the former's motherly role. Madhu also shared what it feels like to be a grandmom.
In an interview with India Today, Madhu Chopra was asked about her daughter Priyanka Chopra's motherly role. She called the actress 'fearless'. Talking about Priyanka's parenting style, Madhu also mentioned that the former is giving Malti the freedom to be the person that she is. Madhu also shared one piece of advice that she passed on to her daughter, Priyanka, as a mom. Madhu added that she told Priyanka not to use the word 'no' to Malti but rather asked her to be patient and make Malti understand. Madhu can be quoted as saying:
"She’s fearless and isn’t scared of anything. She's giving her baby a lot of freedom to be her own person. And once I told her not to ever skew the word no. Explain to her, she'll understand. Don't just say no. That's the one advice I have shared with her."

Going further in the same interview, Madhu Chopra was asked what it feels like to be a grandmom to Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. To this, Madhu called the experience 'exciting', and added that whenever she holds Malti in her arms, she forgets that she has her own kids. Madhu said:
“I just enjoy having the baby in my arms, I have actually forgotten that I have kids of my own."
In the concluding segment of the interview, Madhu Chopra was asked to describe Priyanka as a mother. To this, Madhu called the actress a 'superwoman.' When asked about one of her biggest regrets in raising Priyanka, Madhu said she should never send the actress to a boarding school. Calling it 'not the best decision' of her life, Madhu added:
"I wouldn’t have sent her to the boarding school. I still cry when I think about it and I still feel guilty. My fault was that I sent her to a boarding school. Not the best decision of my life."

Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Priyanka Chopra's mom revealed that the actress suffered from PTSD trauma due to her complexion. Madhu shared how PeeCee had to face a lot of taunts due to her wheatish complexion, which remained in her head and haunted her. For those who don't know, several times, PeeCee has opened up about the injustice she had to face in her workplace due to her skin tone.
However, in the same interview, Madhur Chopra heaped praises on her daughter, Priyanka, and lauded her for working hard on herself. Madhu also recalled how Priyanka's physical and mental health improved after she resided in America for a significant period of time. Citing an example of PeeCee's transformation, Madhu said that when she first watched her daughter at the airport, she couldn't even recognise her.
