Priyanka Chopra, a famous actress in the entertainment world, needs no introduction. The diva skips no chance to leave her fans in awe of her acting mettle, wit, charming personality, and fashion. Although, she is hailed as a global star, in her heart, the actress is her 'daddy's little girl', and she often talked about the pain she suffered with the demise of her father, Dr Ashok Chopra. And on his death anniversary, the actress now posted an adorable video filled with memories and penned a heart-wrenching note.

Taking to her IG handle, a while ago, Priyanka Chopra posted a video on her father, Dr Ashok Chopra's death anniversary. For the unversed, Ashok Chopra bid farewell to the world in 2013 after suffering from cancer. The actress' father was a physician in the Indian Army. However, the video, which Priyanka posted was filled with several photos of the actress with Ashok Chopra. It also featured Mr Chopra singing on the stage, which reminded us that Priyanka once revealed that her father used to be called the 'singing surgeon'.

Sharing the adorable video, Priyanka penned a heart-touching note, wherein she stated that her father is still the brightest light of them. She also added that it has been 11 years since her father passed away, but it still doesn't feel real. Sharing that one should hold their loved ones close as time can be short, Priyanka wrote:

"The light of every room. You’re still our brightest light dad. 11 years without you and it still doesn’t feel real. Thinking of you today and everyday. I love you. Forever. Hold your loved ones close and tell them you love them. Time can be short.”

Priyanka Chopra revealed that her father used to be called as a 'singing surgeon'

For the unversed, Priyanka had an unbreakable bond with her father, Ashok Chopra, and he was her saviour and protector. The actress also got herself inked as 'Daddy's lil girl' in her wrist as a token of love towards her father. This tattoo Priyanka got a year before Mr Chopra's demise, and it was her father's handwriting, which made it even more special. However, talking about her father, Priyanka, in an interview, shared that as her father was in the Army, they had to constantly travel, and she was only 13 years old when Mr Chopra taught his darling daughter how to ride, and she was scared of the same.

She also added that her father was a trained artist, painter, and singer, and was addressed as a 'singing surgeon'. Recalling the same, PeeCee said that she has inherited a fondness for singing from her father, and remembered how when she was only three years old, her dad used to spot her out from the audience while singing on the stage, or else she would get miffed.

Priyanka said that her father often used to call her up on the stage and she would sing the African song she knew then. In several of her interviews, over the years, Priyanka stated that she could not get over the pain of her father's demise.
