It is often said that Priyanka Gandhi is a reflection of her grandmother, Indira Gandhi. Priyanka has never left any stone unturned in showing love for her legendary grandmother. There was a time when X(formerly Twitter) had gone crazy with women sharing snaps of themselves in a saree. The hashtag 'Saree Twitter' used to trend. To join the bandwagon, Priyanka posted a picture back in 2019 wearing a gorgeous saree from her morning wedding puja. She looked demure and absolutely stunning in her grandmom's saree. Reportedly, she had also worn the saree while she was taking pheras with Robert.
When Abhishek Bachchan's first cousin, Naina Bachchan, who is the daughter of Ajitabh Bachchan, got married, Priyanka wore Indira's saree at the function. Interestingly late Indira wore the saree in 1966 when she visited the White House in the USA to attend the state banquet that then-President Lyndon B Johnson hosted. Priyanka's classy and elegant sartorial picks have made her one of the most chic fashion symbols in the entire nation. Not to forget, her resemblance to her grandmom and former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, added charm to her look.
Priyanka had left no stone unturned in looking elegant when she was invited to a marriage function held by the Bachchan's. It was in 2015 when Naina got married, and Priyanka attended the posh wedding function with her husband, Robert Vadra. The silk saree had golden zari work that Priyanka teamed with a brocade blouse and pearl earrings.
Priyanka has inherited her sartorial picks from Indira Gandhi. Whenever she goes for a campaign, she makes it a point to wear a saree from her grandmother's wardrobe. Priyanka is used to hearing that she looks like her grandmother. Once she had also shared that Indira was shorter than her so she had to make some changes to the sarees. Priyanka said:

Indira Gandhi had spoken of her granddaughter, Priyanka once and had called her the 'virtual political heir'. Indira had predicted that Priyanka would shine and the next century would be hers.
