After a long wait, Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma had finally tied the knot as per the Bengali traditions on November 15, 2021, in the presence of their son, Krishiv. The star couple was trying to tie the knot since 2017 after their engagement, but their professional life and the pandemic had ruined their plans. Later, in January 2020, Puja and Kunal had a court marriage, and on October 9, 2020, they had welcomed a baby boy.
On November 18, 2021, Puja Banerjee had shared a series of pictures on her IG handle from her wedding with Kunal Verma. For the wedding, while Puja had opted for a red Bengali saree with golden work on it and had completed her look with a golden nath, matha patti, shankha-pola and white mukut, Kunal, on the other hand, had worn a red Bengali kurta with a mukut. However, it was their son, Krishiv, who had stolen the show as he was seen wearing a white and red Bengali style kurta with dhoti. Sharing the pictures, Puja had written, “Ho gayi hamare phere wali shaadi,” and “Mere tum @kunalrverma.”

“I wanted a gudiya when Puja was pregnant. But yes, the second one isn't coming so soon. Everyone will have to wait, including the second baby.”
Talking about who named their firstborn Krishiv, Puja shared that it was her idea to name her son as she is Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva’s devotee. She said:
“I named him. I am a big bhakt of Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva. I recall praying to Shiv ji when my son was in the ICU for the first 4 days. I had to go and feed him. But the power supply had failed in that building where he had been kept. I prayed to Shivji that they would to bring him down- and they did.”

When asked if their traditional wedding led to any change in their lives or if they feel different now as compared to after a court wedding, Puja said:
“Well, a lot of people told us that. They asked why you are wasting money in doing these functions. But I for one had a strong wish since childhood that meri shaadi kis tarah hogi. So to fulfill that...”
Well, when to have a second baby is entirely Puja and Kunal’s decision and we respect that!
