Currently, Ariana is grabbing a lot of attention after being attacked by an influencer widely known as 'Pyjama Man'.

What happened during the special premiere of Wicked: For Good in Singapore?

On November 13, 2025, Wicked: For Good held a special premiere in Singapore ahead of its November 21, 2025, release. Ariana Grande was walking the yellow brick road carpet at Universal Studios Singapore with her Wicked: For Good co-stars, Michelle Yeoh, Cynthia Erivo and Jeff Goldblum. While social media was buzzing with the early reviews of Wicked: For Good, where Ariana returns as 'Glinda', a shocking incident in Singapore has stolen the spotlight. While the pop icon was walking alongside her co-stars and was waving at the crowd, a man jumped into the scene.

He was wearing a white shirt and matching shorts and had long hair with blue streaks. Multiple videos captured the shocking incident where the man was seen running fast towards the artist, turning her and grabbing her. Visibly shocked, Ariana tried to move away from the man and was later saved by her co-star, Cynthia Erivo, who portrays 'Elphaba' in Wicked: For Good. Cynthia shouted at the attacker and also came between him and Ariana. Within minutes, the security removed the attacker from the scene.

Soon after the videos went viral, featuring Ariana Grande being attacked at Universal Studios Singapore, fans were quick to identify the man as the 25-year-old Australian influencer, Johnson Wen, who is widely known as 'Pyjama Man'. This attack was nothing new to the young Australian influencer, as there were multiple instances when he tried to assault celebrities. On November 13, 2025, Johnson posted a video on his Instagram handle featuring the attack. He literally bragged the moment and wrote:

"@arianagrande @wickedmovie Dear Ariana Grande, thank you for letting me jump on the yellow carpet with you."

Ever since 'Pyjama Man' shared the video of the shocking attack on Ariana Grande, netizens have been slamming it. A user wrote, "This is completely unhinged behaviour & embarrassing. You could be doing something productive with your time & energy instead of chasing celebrities around & making them feel unsafe smh." Another user commented, "After all the trauma Ari has been through, this is beyond disrespectful. Not just to her, but to the cast and to all the fans. It’s literally infuriating. You should be ashamed." Another user penned, "You literally assaulted her and you’re posting it? Bro, you deserve to be in jail. There is something severely wrong with you."

Pointing out how Ariana Grande got scared by the influencer’s action, a user wrote, "Dude, this is not okay. Look how badly you scared her! You put your hands on her. I sincerely hope you are charged with something and banned from events." Another user commented, "She didn’t jump with you. You assaulted her.
