How Did 'The Blind Side' Actor, Quinton Aaron Fall In His Home? He's On Life Support: Health Update

Quinton Aaron is a famous American actor, who made his debut with Michel Gondry's Be Kind Rewind. Following this, his lead role in The Blind Side as 'Michael Oher' grabbed all the attention. Over the years, Quinton Aaron carved a space for himself in the hearts of his fans, who were left worried when, in January 2026, reports claimed that the actor had a terrible fall at his home, which led him to be admitted to a hospital. How did Quinton Aaron fall in his home, leading him to be hospitalised?

Quinton Aaron's wife, Margarita sat for an interview with TMZ, wherein she revealed that her husband had a blood infection, and the tests are being done to determine what actually caused this. As per Margarita, her husband used to wake up with soreness, which she thought was caused by poor sleep. However, with soreness in his back and legs, Quinton attempted to climb the stairs, but he lost control as he lost feeling in his legs, leading him to fall down. Margarita rushed to help her husband, and on the way to the hospital, the actor was slipping in and out of consciousness, and that's when doctors recommended him life support. 

How is Quinton Aaron doing?

Speaking about how Quinton Aaron is doing currently, Margarita revealed that her husband opened eyes and gave a thumbs up as of January 26, 3.23 PM PT. It has been four days since the actor was hospitalised, and he's currently on life support, but he's showing signs of recovery, as shared by his wife to TMZ. She also revealed that the medical devices aren't just operating only, but the actor is breathing by himself partially, which gave the family hope. Margarita further called her husband a 'fighter' and mentioned that they have trust in god, and everyone believes that the actor will walk out of the hospital fully recovered. She could be quoted as saying:

"He opened his eyes today and gave a thumbs up. He's showing a lot of improvement. We all have faith in God that he will walk out of here fully recovered."

Quinton Aaron is a well-known actor, who has credit to several projects, including films, television and music videos. His first lead role was with The Blind Side, which proved to be a massive success at the box office, garnering USD 300 million in the U.S. box office. He was also seen in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, NBC's Mercy, and CBS' Harry's Law, One Tree Hill, and Drop Dead Diva, among others.

Some of his impressive works included 1982,  Halfway, My First Miracle, It's Not My Fault, I Don't Care Anyway, and Mothers and Daughters. Talking about his wife, Margarita, the couple reportedly met on TikTok and tied the knot in 2024. As per Margarita's social media, she's a Latina and a mom. Reportedly, Margarita is a makeup artist, and she was the one to help Quinton to come out of depression after his mom's demise.
