R Madhavan is the most loved actor in Bollywood and Tollywood. He is loved for his work, and people think that he is ageing backwards as he still looks so charming. Despite attaining so much success in his career, R Madhavan likes to stay rooted to the grounds and doesn't let stardom get through his head. Recently, R Madhavan reacted to Aamir Khan's superstardom and habit of not carrying a wallet.
Recently, in an interview with Just Too Filmy, R Madhavan was questioned about his wallet-carrying habit as his 3 Idiots co-star, Aamir Khan, doesn't keep a wallet wherever he goes. To this, Madhavan quipped that Aamir is an extreme while he is not. He also shared that it is Aamir's stardom that allows him to be like that, and he has a person paying for him. Madhavan was quoted as saying:
"I am never that extreme. Aamir’s stardom allows him to be like that. Whatever he requires, he has people to pay for it. Of course, he would pay them… and it isn’t like he doesn’t pay for it."
R Madhavan further opened up about his personality and stated that he likes freedom while travelling and he can't go everywhere with an entourage. He loves interacting with people on his own terms.
"My personality or fitrat is such I don't like an entourage. I walk alone, and I like my freedom, and ability to interact with people, so I if I want to buy something I need money, I would like to have a credit card or something. I am not that extreme."
R Madhavan revealed that he doesn't run into obtaining material possessions, which reflects his being grounded even after his stardom. However, his wife, Sarita, thinks he is extremely generous. Madhavan also joked that he knows how to handle money, but his wife thinks differently and believes that he spends all his money. He said:
"My wife thinks I am generous to a fault. And I am a fool. And I don't know how to handle my money. She thinks I keep giving it away. I think I'm very particular about it, but she says not even from a remote corner. Are you particular about it? I spend what I have."
On the work front, R Madhavan is currently seen in Hisaab Barabar, a satirical thriller directed by Ashwani Dhir. The film features Kirti Kulhari, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Rashami Desai and Faisal Rashid.
