R Madhavan is one of the most phenomenal actors of his generation in Bollywood. Moreover, he also wins the hearts of his massive fan base with his dimpled smile and humble nature. Married to the love of his life, Sarita Birje, the duo is blessed with a son, Vedaant. Unlike his father, Vedaant has established himself as a top-of-the-league athlete at a very young age and is a gold-medallist swimmer at both national and international levels. And now, Maddy shared a happy moment on his social media, that featured his son making the country proud at the Commonwealth Youth Games.
Taking to his IG handle on August 5, 2023, R Madhavan shared a beautiful video featuring his talented son, Vedaant Madhavan. The clip features the star son making the country and his parents proud, as he became the bearer of the Indian national flag at the Commonwealth Youth Games. Vedaant looked handsome in a blue blazer and matching trousers, as he walked with confidence, carrying the flag in his upright arms. Along with the video, Maddy penned a happy caption, as he wished all the luck to the Indian swimming team for the championship. He wrote:
“Goooo INDIAAAA. — ALL THE VERY VERY BEST.”

Recently, R Madhavan’s son, Vedaant was spotted out and about in the city, as he took driving lessons. However, what caught everyone’s attention was the fact that he learnt the new skills on not just any ordinary car, but a ravishing Porsche. In the video that surfaced online, Vedaant could be seen sitting beside his instructor. Moreover, he even gave a small introduction of himself, and could be heard saying:
“Hi, I am Vedaant Madhavan, and today I am at the Galadari Driving Centre. I just passed my theory exam, and now I am with my amazing instructor to learn how to drive. I am driving this amazing Porsche and I can’t wait to get my licence.”
On April 16, 2023, the proud dad, R Madhavan showered praise on his son, Vedaant, as he broke the record at the National Junior Swimming championship. Vedaant bagged the title at the Danish Open competition in Copenhagen. In the video shared by the proud father, Vedaant could be seen being conferred the silver medal. Sharing the clip from the award ceremony, R Madhavan thanked his son's guru and had expressed his proud feeling.

In a previous interview with Brut India, R Madhavan spoke about his son, Vedaant and shared his insecurities towards him as a parent. Moreover, he wittily added that post his son’s claim to fame after winning big as an athlete, he has started to feel envious of the latter's success and felt competitive towards him. He also credited his wife, Sarita for imparting such upbringing to their son such that he remains humble despite achieving high.
