Radhika Madan has cemented her name as one of the best actresses in the Indian entertainment industry with her versatility and captivating performances. Recently, she was seen in the crime thriller, Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video, and once again, she has proved her mettle to the world. Radhika stepped into the world of glitz and glam in 2014, and since then, has climbed onto the stairs of success one after the other. However, you would be surprised to know that she used to be a dance instructor in New Delhi and wanted to be a choreographer before she chose acting as her profession.

Radhika Madan, a resident of New Delhi, was born in 1995 to Sujit and Neeru Madan and completed her graduation from Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University. Radhika debuted in the television industry in 2014 with one of the most-loved daily soaps of all time. She first starred in Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, opposite the popular actor, Shakti Arora. The serial was a massive hit back in the day, and Radhika’s character ‘Ishaani Parekh’ and Shakti’s character ‘Ranveer Vaghela’ were one of the most-loved on-screen couples.
The show ran for two years before going off air in 2016 and paved Radhika’s way to the silver screen. As per reports, the 28-year-old bagged the role of ‘Ishaani’ because the eminent producer, Ekta Kapoor, instantly liked her when she watched her perform at a show in Delhi. Ekta was drawn towards Radhika’s personality, performance and charming looks; hence, she decided to cast her as ‘Ishaani’. It was also reported that the actress even took Gujarati lessons from the veteran actress, Sarita Joshi, on the sets to mould herself completely into ‘Ishaani’. Radhika Madan once shared that she ran away from the sets of Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi because she was terrified of having to shoot retakes of scenes.
While she was working in Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, Radhika also participated in the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8, in 2015. After her stint in Ekta Kapoor's production, she was next seen in an Indonesian romantic drama, Cinta di Pangkuan Himalaya in 2017, opposite Shakti Arora. However, the ratings of the show were very low, and ultimately it went off-air the same year. Radhika then completely switched from television to Bollywood.

Radhika Madan made her Bollywood debut with the film, Pataakha, and starred opposite Sanya Malhotra. Both the lead actresses stayed in a village near Jaipur, Rajasthan to completely mould themselves into their respective on-screen characters. Radhika and Sanya learned the Rajasthani dialect, and got accustomed to milking buffaloes, plastering walls with dung, and walking for long distances while balancing matkas full of water on their heads. This film also cemented Radhika and Sanya's friendship.
In an interview, Radhika recalled giving auditions for her role in the film as believed that it was the most professional way for any performer to understand his or her capability. She was asked if she finds it awkward to audition for a role despite having experience. Radhika revealed to IANS that it was not awkward for her. However, she said that it was quite tough for her to get hold of a different dialect that she had to use in the same film. She said:
"I think auditioning is the best process to bag a role for any actor. It gives us a chance to understand our capability as a performer, and directors to see if the essence of the character is really lying within the actor. So no, I did not feel anything awkward in that process. I remember how madly I was mugging up the lines... with a dialect at the Goa airport because I was in Goa when I got the call from the casting department to immediately come back to Mumbai. People thought that I had gone mad that's why I was talking to myself. Only I knew what I was preparing for…"
In 2019, Radhika was cast in Vasan Bala's action comedy, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota with Abhimanyu Dassani. The film received praises at the global level as well. The 28-year-old actress once mentioned that while she was auditioning for Laila Majnu when she got to know about Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota and chose the latter film because of its ‘uniqueness’. In 2020, Radhika was seen in the comedy-drama, Angrezi Medium alongside Irrfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor, which was Khan's last film before his death in April 2020.
In 2021, Radhika worked on four projects and ventured into web series with her performances in Ray and Feels Like Ishq, both of which earned critical praise. Her only film in 2021 was Shiddat with Sunny Kaushal. In 2022, she made a guest appearance in Netflix's comedy thriller, Monica, O My Darling. In 2023, her first release was the crime thriller, Kuttey, which received positive reviews to mixed reactions from critics.

She next appeared as a gully cricketer in Kacchey Limbu with Rajat Barmecha and Ayush Mehra. Radhika then played a significant role in the web series, Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo. Recently, Radhika was seen in the crime thriller, Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video, and her role as the titular character received much praise from the audience. Her upcoming projects include Sanaa and the remake of Soorarai Pottru alongside Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. She also became the first Indian actress to join the jury at the Tallinn Film Festival, and the youngest jury member at 2023's International Emmy Awards.
Radhika, who used to work as a TV actor, shared that during her time in the industry, she would work for 48-50 hours in a single shift. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, she said whenever she asked for the script, she was told to come to the sets as the script was still being printed. The directors would make changes to the script at the last minute. She also mentioned that whenever she tried to give input about her character, the directors would dismiss it.
Radhika revealed that they would say that they would consider it if they were making a film, not a TV serial. This remark by Radhika created a stir among the television actors, who called her out for stating such absurd things. Even Ekta Kapoor was furious over such a statement, as she was the one who launched Radhika on Television.
Unlike her professional front, much is not known about Radhika Madan's personal life. However, as per several reports and pictures on her official Instagram account, the 28-year-old actress once used to date a man named Ishan Arya. She often used to take to her IG handle and post about her lovely relationship with her boyfriend. Off lately, much is not known about her personal life, whether she is still dating Ishan or has parted ways with him, anything is not confirmed.
