And it seems that hopefully, the second-half of 2019 will be no different as the youngest heir, Anant Ambani is reportedly all set to get married to his girlfriend, Radhika Merchant. The past few months have all been about Isha Ambani (who got married to Anand Piramal) and Akash Ambani (who got married to Shloka Mehta). And now, it's time for hone-wali-Ambanis-ki-choti-bahu, Radhika Merchant.
Radhika Merchant is no less of a social media star these days, and every time she steps out in public, shutterbugs follow her. Time and again, we have brought you her pictures from events and public appearances. But today, it's about the pictures from a party where Radhika Merchant was clicked with her friends in a pub in Mumbai. Radhika Merchant has been well-accepted by the Ambani family. Remember how we had told you that once, Radhika shared a diamond necklace with her nanad, Isha Ambani? For those who missed that out, last year, on October 29, 2018, a Ganesh Puja was held at the Ambanis’ residence right before Isha Ambani's wedding with Anand Piramal. She looked super gorgeous ornamenting herself with a diamond necklace. Cut to, March 09, 2019, we spotted Radhika Merchant attending Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding, and she was wearing the same necklace as Isha Ambani's. Take a look:
Last year, on Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas' wedding, Nita Ambani walking hand-in-hand with Radhika, was also too adorable to miss and it was another instance proving that Radhika has completely become friendly with the Ambanis. Radhika Merchant is the daughter of Viren Merchant, the CEO and Vice Chairman of Encore Healthcare. Radhika has her graduate degree from New York University, in Politics and Economics. After coming back to India, she worked as Sales Executive in 2017 at Isprava, a real estate firm that ‘creates dream holiday homes for those with the finest tastes’.
Radhika loves reading, trekking and swimming. About her love for trekking, Radhika was once quoted as saying, "To go trekking or just relaxing in the calm and secluded areas of any place". Radhika is known for some serious coffee addiction at her office. In an interview, Radhika revealed why she returned to India after her graduation from the NYU. She stated, “To find a place where my work would matter, and I could make a real contribution to the organization I would join."
About her venture into the luxury space, Radhika Merchant had shared in the same interview, "I had never given much thought to the concept of luxury while growing up. However, after joining Isprava, my idea of luxury has evolved. Earlier I was put off by the mentality behind luxury because I equated it with a large logo on a handbag or a specific pattern on a piece of fabric but after joining Isprava and understanding the brand's idea of luxury I have learnt to appreciate it. To us, luxury is the seamless process of buying a home and a hassle-free holiday experience."
Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani's above picture had surfaced online last year and it had led to many speculations that they had gotten engaged. But a Reliance spokesperson dismissed the speculations and had told Business Today, "Anant Ambani is not engaged yet.” On the other hand, Nita Ambani had told the Bombay Times around the same time, “Mukesh and I have given a very strong foundation to our kids and even larger wings to fly - they have the freedom to take decisions for themselves and of course, choose whom they would want to spend the rest of their lives with.
